I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I groaned and rolled over to grab my phone off the bedside table.
"Hello?" I answered groggily.
"Hey! Did I wake you up?" Graham asked, you could hear the concern in his voice.
"No, no." I yawned. "I was just about to wake up."
"Liar." I could hear the smile in his voice.
"It's fine, I would have been woken up by my alarm anyways.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. So why are you up so early?"
"To call you."
I smiled. Before tour he would wake up around the same time i do and call me just to say good morning and if I missed the call, which I have before, then he would leave me a voicemail and text me. One time I slept through his call and he left a two minute voicemail and a long text about how lucky he was to have me and how wonderful I was.
"Hello? Did you fall asleep?"
I shook my head, but soon remembered he couldn't see me. "No, lost in my thoughts." I pulled my shirt over my shoulder, only for the other side to fall down.
"Should I let you go?" He yawned.
"If you'd like. I don't really care, I could skip breakfast if I run late."
"Don't do that."
"I did it while you were gone." I mumbled.
"What?" He sounded upset.
"Nothing."
"I'm coming over."
Before I could protest he hung up. I let out a loud huff. Why did I have to open my big mouth. I got our of bed and pulled my shorts down, sticking my phone in the waistband. I took my hair out of the messy bun and pulled my hair to the side. When i walked into the bathroom I turned on the light and was instantly blinded. I shielded my eyes and blinked a couple of times. Once my vision cleared up I moved my arm down and looked in the mirror. My hair was messy and tousled up and my face was red and imprinted with the pillow case lines. My mom walked in my room and lightly knocked on the door frame. I jumped and turned around.
"I see you're awake."
I nodded. "Graham called."
"Any plans this afternoon? Jillian told me about you coming home late, he said you didn't eat dinner."
I looked down at my finger nails. "I felt sick, I didn't want to risk the chance of eating something and throwing up."
My mom worked in the evenings and early mornings. She works as a P.I. most of her work is from home but she normally does her snooping in the evening, when she has a chance to get a "one on one" with her clients.
"Honey, eat tonight okay? I'm going to be gone until late." She walked in and smoothed my hair out.
"I left some money on your dresser, go out tonight with Graham or some friends." She kissed my four head.
"Thanks."
She walked out the bathroom and lightly closed the bed room door.
I hopped in the shower and washed my hair. As the warm water hit my back I heard a noise that sounded like my bedroom door opening and closing silently. I covered my body and stuck my head out the curtain. "Hello?" I called.
"It's just me," Graham called back.
I let out a sigh of relief.
"Sorry, your mom let me in."
