Chapter #1: A Mission For Me

Ang maingay na plaza ang sumalubong sakin, pati na rin and Dream pet ko na isang black hound dragon.

"Namiss mo ba ako? Haha." Hinawakan ko ang pisnge ni Cole Revory at pinisil pisil toh, at masaya nya naman akong tiningnan. "Uwi na tayo, Cole. Pagod na ako, tapos papakainin pa kita."  Bago ako sumakay sa likod nya ay huminga ako ng malalim at sumakay na ako, lumipad naman syang mabilis papalayo sa plaza.

Lumipad kami papunta sa sarili kong bahay kung saan ito'y makikita sa Misty Forest. Nasa taas toh ng pinaka mataas na puno dun, wala kasi dun mostly nakatira kaya yun ang napili ko. Hindi pa nga ako nakaka pasok ay may naramdaman na akong presence ng ibang tao kaya isinuot ko ang fox mask ko at ini-ready ng dalawa kong baril.

Dahan dahan akong pumasok sa living room ko,basag ang bintana, tsk may intruder nga. "Cole, shrink boy." Pabulong kong utos sa kanya at ginawa nya naman, I made him track kung nasan ang mga trespassers which he found in the kitchen. Ihinanda ko na ang baril ko, which contains sleeping bullets, then I jump out from where I was hiding.

"Put your fucking hands in the air and freeze!" It's either me or them to die in here and out there. "Chill Hyacinth! It's just us!" It was my past friends which I now deeply despise. But that's another story in another time. I sighed in disappointment and anger, tinanggal ko na ang fox mask ko at tiningnan sila ng matalim. "What do you fucking need? At sinong nagsabi na pumasok kayo dito?" I sarcastically asked.

"Sinabihan kami ng konsensya namin, haha."

"Haha.." I sarcastically laughed at napayuko sila sa kahihiyan. They trespassed into my a territory. And it's a crime. "..get the fuck out of my house, now." I ordered them as I pointed to the door.

"Kung galit ka sakin, wag mo silang idamay!" Ugh, napaka dramatic ng mga bwesit, simple instruction hindi magawa!

"Raynold, shut the fuck up. It's not all about you, you know. Hindi lang galit ko sayo ang iniisip ko. Ack." Kahit dila ko, nang diri sa sinabi ko.

"Then at least stop cursing and raising your middle finger to us." I put down my raised middle finger hindi dahil sa sinabi nya kundi dahil kumalma na ako ng kaunti. I moved to the counter at naupo ako dun. "You will have 60 seconds to explain kung bakit kayo andito, Shean."

"That's all I need. We're here because we need your help."

"As you see now, I don't work for free, Shean."

"W-we'll pay you! Kailangan lang talaga namin ng tulong mo..." sabat naman ni Mae. Nautal pa si Barney. Hays.

"Real money." Napalunok lang sila lahat ng sabihin ko yun at tiningnan nila ang isa't isa then tumango. Dream money doesn't worth that much as real money, pero it is still worth something thanks to Shh.

"Fine. We'll pay you."

"Now we're getting somewhere. So, ano ba ang problema?"

"May lumalaganap kasing balita tungkol sa grupo na may pangalang 'Takers'."

"Yeah, I've heard of that. Oh ano naman ang tungkol sa kanila?"

I've only heard about them last week, they said na they can control whether you can wake up or not. Humihingi sila ng reward money sa mga pamilya ng hostage that can cross the dream world and real world to meet up with them and give the money, or else the Takers will take that person's life or enternally put that person's family in misery by putting the person in coma.

"Well, we thought na myth lang sila pero hindi pala.. my sister, Daisy's brother, Raynold and Destiny's families are held by them. Kasama na din ng iba pang tao."

"And?"

"Well we think that you might help us and also we can find them and bring their uprising terror to an end."

"Mhmm. How long till they end their lives or put them on a coma?"

"About two months from now."

"I see." I got down from the counter and sighed. "That's all I need to know, all of you can get out now."

"Pero mas magiging madali toh pag sinama mo kami!" Sigaw sakin ni Daisy na syang ikinakunot ng noo ko.

"For all I know, alam nyo lang na nawala ang pamilya nyo at wala man lang kayong ni isang lead tungkol sa mga Takers na yan! If you'll come I'll just use you all as a fucking fish bait!" Napatulala sila sa nasabi ko, I went to far, I know. Pero it's not the time to back down.

"N-nagbago ka na nga talaga.." sabi sakin ni Destiny habang nakayuko ang ulo nya.

"No. I didn't change. It's just I change on how I treat all of you now after what you guys did." Katahimikan. Yan ang bumalot sa kusina, nakakasakal na katahimikan ang bumalot sa kusina ko na pinutol ni Shean.

"After this one week ay may masquerade event na mangyayari sa Crystal Kingdom, I heard na aatake daw dun ang mga Takers para kunin ang mga anak ng richest persons there."

"You don't have any invitation there, do you?" I raised my right eyebrow as I asked. Dahil alam kong wala talaga silang mapagkukunan ng isang mamahaling invitation slip na gawa sa Crystal Kingdom.

"Yeah, wala nga, bakit ikaw?" Raynold angrily barks back.

"I have my connections at hindi naman pala lahat sainyo,walang silbi. Ngayon,umalis na kayo."

Raynold was the first to go outside,then the others, nag pahuli si Shean at hinawakan ang braso ko. "You really have changed."

"For the better of my own." I said as I look at him with such bloodlust. "Now get out of my sight Shean, while I can still hold myself."

At nawala na silang lahat sa paningin ko. Pumunta ako sa sala at naupo sa sofa. "I'll fix that broken window later." Tumaas din si Cole sa sofa at nag shrink sa tamang size ng isang aso at pinatong nya ang ulo nya sa thigh ko.

"A masquerade event in the Crystal Kingdom,hah." I petted Cole's head as I drifted to awakening.
