Chapter #6: The Masquerade Event

I stretched my arms and scratch my thighs as I waited for the Takers to arrive. This dress doesn't suit me at all. Its color is sea foam, and high heels with a rose jewelry on it which makes my feet look good, mas maganda pa ang paa ko kesa sakin, ang galing diba. Nagsasayawan ang ibang mayayaman habang nag uusap naman ang iba, nasa gilid lang ako at inaabangan ang masamang mangyayari, ayaw kong maka attract ng attention lalo na at focus ako sa mission na toh.

"I haven't seen your face around here." A guy approached me with a smile on his face, ugh, just what I don't need. A damn distraction. Ngumiti na din ako pabalik para naman di ako pag kamalan neto. Ang mask nya is crow pero may hati kaya kita ang bibig nya. Fan ata toh ni Kaneki Ken.

"I'm new around this parts, this is my first time attending this kind of event." Sabi ko sa kanya ng mahinhin na parang eleganting babae.

"I see, why choose a fox mask? Are you one of the Fox's fan?" Woah!? Seryoso!? May mga fans ako dito sa dream world!? Self esteem up!

"T-the Fox?"

"Haha, you really are new around here. Fox is a mercenary, she's a part- I mean she was once a part of a group called the Faceless Barren, it's also the name of their bar." Muhkang nag research toh ah. Ouch.. so inalis na talaga ako sa Faceless Barren, ang sakit naman.

"It seems you knew a lot about them."

"Nah, not really, they're just popular around the dream world." Nga naman, kaya sila kinakatakutan eh.

"I see..." I said while I'm in deep thoughts of what's gonna happen next.

"Would you like to dance?"

"Umm what?" He only chuckled and look back at me.

"Would you like to have a dance with me, Milady?" He bowed and hand me his hand, he's asking me to dance with him!? Ku-kunin ko ba ang kamay nya? Pano kung mapahiya ko sya? T-teka nga lang! Focus Hyacinth, hindi toh ang pinunta mo dito!

"I must humbly decline your invitation, kind sir. I don't know how to dance." He stand straight and chuckled lowly. Nag bow ako sa harap nya at aalis na sana nang hawakan nya ang kamay ko.

"Wait wait,haha, I'll just teach you, no need to be insecure about it." Bwesit! Nakita nang kailangan kong mag focus eh! Any minute pwede mag appear ang mga Takers na yan! Bago pa man ako makapag salita ay hinila na nya ako papunta sa balcony ng palace ng Crystal Kingdom.

"H-hey! Seriously, I need to get back inside, please."

"Chill, this will be quick." Napa dighay na lang ako at sumunod sa kanyang mga sinasabi. He's tall, I say, brown wavy hair and a broad shoulder. Basta nga naman mga rich kids eh. He made me hold his shoulder while he put his hand on my waist, I shivered at his touch. "You're not use to this kind of stuff, are you?" He said as he chuckled.

"Too obvious?" I said sarcastically which only made him laugh. He started guiding and we started dancing, along with the music inside. I looked down on our foot so I could watch my step.

"Don't look down, just look in my eyes so you could get used to it." Ginawa ko naman ang sinabi  nya, natamaan ko ang paa nya mga one to three times until I finally got the hang of it. I smiled gleefully na parang batang may bagong laruan. He smiled back. He has green eyes which I just notice now, it matches his brown wavy hair.

Not a few moments later, a shout of joy came inside so we decided to check it out. Phew, good thing for that, my hands were getting sweaty. It was the king and queen of Crystal Kingdom, and they had a very very long speech, after that was a dance, Crow asked me to dance once again, since I don't know his name,lets call him that. I was getting irritated, kanina pa wala ang mga Takers na yan! Baka fake news ang binigay sakin ni Shean!

"Are you waiting for someone?"

"Hmm? Oh, no, why did you ask?"

"Well you seem pretty occupied."

"Oh, haha, I was just-" before I could even finish, a loud crash interrupted me, people jumping down the ceiling of the grand ball room and people entering the place surrounded us, some people fought back but a lot are more afraid to move an inch, most of the people were cowering with fear than fighting! Me and crow tried fighting back but us, fighters, were outnumbered.

"Can you fight?" Tanong sakin ni Crow habang talikodan kaming dalwa.

"Hell yeah I can!" Sabi ko sa kanya at sabay kaming nakipag laban sa mga Takers. Someone shooted Crow with a fire blast pero wa epek toh sa ice wall nya, pinatamaan din nya sila ng ice shards na ikinasugat nila.

"Crow! Behind you!" I blasted off the enemy with gust and continue fighting the others.

"Thanks!" He shouted back and freeze the other Takers. People were getting abducted, screaming makes my head hurts, flames, blood, and tears were every where.

"Fox!" I heard a familiar voice shout my name, so I followed it. "Wolfie!?"  I shout back, andito si Wolfie, which means andito ang lahat na Faceless Barren! Andito sila para sakin? "Fox!" Sigaw muli ni Wolfie nang makita ako, tumakbo ako papalapit sa kanya at kanya akong niyakap. "W-Wolfie!" Utal kong sabi sa kanya habang umiiyak. "Argh fuck! Thank goodness you're alright! Ano na lang gagawin ko pag may nangyari sayo!?"

"U-umiyak?" Pabiro kong sabi habang nauutal pa rin.

"Hell yeah! Pero tama na ang biro, tapusin na natin tong mga Takers na toh!"  He draw his sword and started fighting against them, nakita ko din si Baboon na nakikipag laban at kinindatan nya ako na ikinatawa ko naman, bumaba ang kaba ko dahil sa kanila, dahil andito na mga barkada ko!

"We already have what we need! Lets move!" Sabi ng isang Taker. "Last one person." Sabi ng leader nila at nag smirk sakin. Oh hell no, akong ang target nitong langya na toh! He run towards me with a dagger in his hand. "Fox! Look out!" Pero di na naka abot si Wolfie para harangan ang leader ng Takers. Sa handle ng dagger nya ay may sleeping gas na ibinuga sakin. I tried fighting the effects of it pero di ko na kinaya. He lift me like a sack of potatoes over his shoulder and jump off the palace balcony, and the last thing I remember was Wolfie trying to save me...

"Fox!" Ang huling salita na narinig ko galing ki Wolfie.

"I'm sorry as always, Wolfie."
