May 2012

It’s been two years since Cas went missing and a lot has changed. I’m a cop, Sam is with Ruby (despite my warnings) and I have a son. Charlie moved into the Cyber-crime department with Ash and Jess is around more than Sam, considering he’s going to a school two states over. I tried with Lisa for a while, for Ben’s sake, but she knew from the moment we started that my heart didn’t belong to her.

Though despite all these changes one thing has yet to change, Castiel is still missing. We thought we had found him or leads to him more than once over the few years since his disappearance but each one was either a bad tip or a dead lead. Bones were found last summer that everyone thought were his, I held by breath for what felt like the entire two months it took to finally get the results back that it wasn’t Cas. I still can’t decide if that’s good news are not. I’m slowly moving on, I think, though every time a see a pair of eyes that are as blue as a cloudless sky or a tuff of raven hair I feel pang of longing in my chest that settles for days.  I stopped going to the playground where we met finally, I realized it wasn’t helping anything or anyone.

A ring of my phone pulled me from my thoughts as I rush to quickly answer it,”Winchester.”

“We got a domestic violence call,” Rufus commands in my ear,” 387 Pine Street.”

“I think know that address, who called it in?” I inquired as I put my cruiser into drive and flip my lights.

“Uh,” Rufus thinks,” Jessica Moore? Yeah that sounds right.”

I end the call at push down on the gas as I raced to get to the scene, my biggest fear is that it’s Jess and something went wrong with that guy she’s been talking about.

___

“Lawrence City Police! OPEN UP!” I shout as I bang on the door, luckily it’s not Jess’ house it’s her next door neighbor. Jess put in the call after a series of shouting and loud banging sounds came from home next door.  The couple was the local bookstore owners, Lucas and Lily. It makes me worried and sad to know that something could be going wrong in their house, Cas did adore them.

With no answer, I bang on the door one more time,”WE GOT A POSSIBLE DOMESTIC CALL LOCATED AT THIS HOUSE!” The sound of furniture being flipped over and a loud scream had me busting open the door to find Lily crouched in the corner and Lucas’ fist in the air with a leather belt wrapped around it. There was no denying they had both put up a fight but I instantly went for him, pinning him to the wall and cuffing him before calling in back up and shoving him on the couch.

Once I hang up the phone I walk over to the now sobbing Lily whose cheek is cut and a quickly growing black eye and gently help her to stand and walk her to the living room to sit opposite of Lucas, whose lips is busted open and shirt is ripped.

Ten minutes later the team arrived, taking statements and photos to pull the police report together. We are wrapping up when someone points out a low thud sort of sound coming from out of nowhere.  The team spread out amongst the house looking around for the strange when one of the forensic techs finds a closet with a metal door locked with a code and key card. I head out to the police car Lucas is in the back of.

“Where’s the card and what’s the code?” I demand.

“Card and code for what?” He asks with a sly smile.

“Don’t play games with me, either give me the key card and code or we bust into it,” I growl, “either way I’m getting into that room.”

“I’m not sure what you’re getting at officer?” He offered with a small head tilt that sent a familiar pang of pain in my chest.

“Fine,” I snap,” have it your way.” I slam the door before marching back into the house and ordering a tech and a court order.

An hour later, the court order and a tech arrive only after the thudding has ended. The specialist slowly works on the door as two other officers and I hold our guns at the ready. The door comes open only to reveal a set of stairs leading down to what looked to be a white room. With guns still lifted I head down first followed by the two other officers and suddenly I feel my gut drop because there lying on the bed asleep is Cas.

On instinct my body moves to kneel beside him and jerking him awake,” Cas, oh god, Cas,” I repeat over and over again as my hands move to his face and arm and fucking anywhere I can reach.

“You...” I choke up,” You’re alive, oh my god,” I laugh through tears as the officers behind me start calling in for warrants and back up officers to return.

“Dean?” He asks almost as him I’m not really there,” What?” His eyes widen with realization.

“OH NO, OH NO. NO,NO,NO.” He shouts trying to leave the room before I stop him,” They-...is-...are they alright?” he asks.

“Is who okay?” I ask scared.

“My Family, Lilth and Lucas?” he asks worry clear in his eyes.

“No Cas, they are...there was a call from Jess, for domestic violence?” I venture, gaging his reaction. He starts weeping before stopping suddenly and looking at Dean, like he just realized he was there.

“Dean?”Cas cracks a smile through his tears,” Is that really you?” He wraps his arms around me pulling me into the best hug of my life.

“Yeah Cas,” I whisper into the crook of his neck,” it’s really me.”

I feel his smile on my shoulder , “You came, I knew you would.”

***This may seem out of left field and that's because it is, i think i'm done writing fanfics for awhile because i'm kinda burnt out on it, hence why i'm wrapping this up so suddenly. I promised i would finish this and plus I HATE it when writers don't finish there work. I was going to have tons more chapters and tons more drama but i realized i just didn't have it in me, so i cut out a lot and just gave you an ending that i invisioned plus writing exciting Cas chapters was getting hard. You should know that i'll be posting one more chapter that ties it all up with a pretty little bow so that things don't seem so unfinished plus * SPOLIER ALERT* I wanted to add dean and cas naughty bits ;D *SPOLIER ALERT OVER* also this was not edited so please forgive me i will repost the edited verison when this is complete i just felt like you guys had waited for too long.
