Chapter 25 : Project Armageddon

"Oka-san?" Nozomi said as her mother came into their room.

"Nozomi? Why aren't you asleep yet?" She said and hug her daughter tightly.

"Oto-san. Oto-san is finally in front of us and free from all the things that kept the two of you away." Nozomi said as tears started to fall down her face.

"Nozomi things aren't as easy as you think."

"It is. Oka-san you're the one that makes it difficult for us. You love him right. I always saw you, every night, crying alone in your room looking at oto-san's portrait."

"Nozomi-chan stop it!"

"Oka-san! I... I just want our family to be complete. I want my real father too. Not only my uncle or grandfather. But you and my real dad!"

"Nozomi... please give me time."

Both of them cried with all their hearts content. Finally, Nozomi had fallen asleep in her mother's arm after crying so much about how she wants to be with her legitimate father.

After tucking in Nozomi in her bed, Mayumi tried to close her eyes to sleep but she can't. A lot of thought is currently disturbing her mind making her unable to rest. So she decided to get out of bed and take a walk by the beach.

The waves of the sea is very calming and soothing in Mayumi's ear, she always loved this kind of view. It makes her remember her first trip with Tatsuya before, which never fails to make her smile. She holds her slippers in her hand and dips her feet by the shore. Mayumi started to walk slowly, savoring the gentle waves in her skin when she suddenly heard someone else's foot steps.

"Mayumi?"

"T-tatsu... Uhm, Yotsuba-san? Why are you here?" Mayumi said as she flustered.

"I can't sleep. So I decided to walk by the shore for a while. I didn't expect to see you here." Tatsuya replied as he walks slowly towards Mayumi. "And you?" He added as he tuck Mayumi's hair into her ears.

"I can't sleep as well." She replied as her cheeks turns bright red and tried to push him away.

"You always love the sea. That's why every time i see this view I remember you."

"Good for you." She said as she avoid Tatsuya's gaze.

"Mayumi... I love you, so much that it hurts my heart when we are not together." Tatsuya said and cupped her cheek with his hand.

"I don't love you Yotsuba-san. I told you that years ago."

"I know it's not true. The way you act and the way your heart race right now. I know somehow you still love me too."

Mayumi didn't answer. She was trying her best not to sound nervous and to avoid looking into his dreamy eyes that captures her heart. But he is persistent, Tatsuya lifted her chin and searched her face. Mayumi's eyes was forced to look into his which made her heart pound more. Tatsuya put his lips gently into hers, and his hands now on her hips pulling her closely into his. Mayumi tasted his lips, it's sweet and soft. The kiss is full of love Mayumi said in her mind, its warm and its the warmth she missed.

"Mayumi?" Tatsuya whispered as he wipes away her tears.

"I... Tatsuya-kun." She said as her eyes rain down tears in her cheeks.

"I love you, Mayumi." He said and kissed her more passionately.
