When Wilford said he would get Dark to talk to you, you hadn't expected to be locked in the same room with him. Apparently, neither did Dark, as he pounded at the door.
"Wilford, open the god damn door!" He yelled, anger burning in his eyes. You heard a laugh from behind the door.
"Only once the two of you have talked things out!" Wilford called from the other side of the door. You heard his footsteps growing fainter as he walked away. Dark let out a deep, annoyed sigh, finally pushing himself away from the door. He turned his head to face you. You let out a small gulp. You didn't feel like being in the same room with Dark when he looked so mad. However, you needed to learn to face your fears, and apologise.
"Look, Dark. I know what I did was wrong, okay? I'm sorry, it won't happen again" You said quietly. Dark stayed silent, just staring. The eerie silence was unbearable.
"After I entrusted you with a secret, after I let you stay here, you go looking at things that aren't your own business... why?" He finally asked, staring at you not with anger, but.... disappointment? Sadness? You were finding it hard to read his expression.
"I'm a kid. It's what kids do" You replies bluntly. Dark rolled his eyes, unsatisfied with your answer. "I know, not a good reason. I... understand if you don't trust me or won't forgive me"
Dark sighed again, staring off into the distance.
"Look, kid..." His voice was low but calm, and his expression seemed to have softened. "You seem nice. Everyone else seems to like you, especially Will. I know how much he cares about you, and... I care about him a lot. So, if you promise not to go through my stuff again, can we put this behind us and try to get along?"
Dark held his hand out. You smirked; you were growing on him.
"Sure" You shook his hand, smiling brightly. You saw a glimmer of a smile form on his face before you heard fast and heavy footsteps, followed by the door being slammed open. Standing there was Wilford, out of breath and a nervous look on his face. Before either you or Dark could ask what was wrong, Wilford spoke up.
"I-it's Mark.....he's coming here, now!"
Oooh boy, another short chapter that took forever for me to finish. Honest reason, I've been losing a lot of motivation for writing. It's not that I don't want to, I love writing! But I've just been doing so much other stuff I've been too tired to think of what to write. So sorry again for the short chapter and long wait, that will probably happen a lot but I like my cliffhangers! So I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and as always, I'll see you in the next one! (whenever it's uploaded)
