Always Potterheads

The Library moment

Okay! So here's one of my experiences!

I have a friend who is also a major Potterhead. He is reading the books for the 4 time. So we're talking about the books on the way to our next lesson and we start to argue about how many pages the 5th one has. I say 800 but he says around 1000. So we're walking and then I furiously say:
"You know what?! Let's just go to the damn library and see!"
"Fine. I can bet anything on it!" He says.
"A book from the Hogwarts library series!"
"Fine!"
So we go, Still arguing about the page number. I notice that behind us also walking to the library is one of the two librarians. She of course heard our "fight".
Then the bell for lesson goes. But that does not stop us!
So we walk in say good day to the librarian that was in the library already. He immediately walks to the Harry Potter shelf and I watch as he opens the last page. Then the librarian says "what's the hurry?" The other one walks in and says "they bet. Who won?"
I say "he did." Then we all start laughing. We say goodbye and walk out. THEN we started to argue about the fact that I meant the English version and the one we looked at was polish. So yeah... the bet is cancelled by the way!

Am I the only one willing to bet on things like that? Am I crazy? No, don't answer that...
