It is time that Katie and I go ask her parents the big question. I hope they will take the question into consideration and think of a way that both of us can be happy. The sad thing to think of right now is that I might end up losing my best friend right now. Thinking negatively will not help nor benefit me in any way. I need to stay calm and think about what is occurring right now and focus on that instead of thinking about what might happen in the future. Katie and I walked out of her blue little house, holding hands, and started to head toward the gate. We were both shaking as if it was the middle of December and we were wearing summer clothing. We walked slowly, but calmly to the gate, squeezing each other's hands tighter by the second. I reached out and pulled the gate backward toward us. We walked through and I closed the gate as we were walking out. Every step we took was closer and closer to the front door. When we reached the front door, we saw that Katie's Mom was sitting in the rocking chair right by the front door. She turned to look at us, but she didn't smile. It was as if she already knew what we were going to say or she just knew how we felt at that moment.

"Mom, me and Alina have a question for you and it is really important to us that you will take it into consideration."

"I already know what you two are wanting to ask me. Were you going to ask me if we could stay here a little longer and hold back on moving?"

"Yes Mom, that was our question. So, what do you have to say to answer that?"

Katie and her mom started to stare at each other. At that moment, everything was silent and it was tense. What is her mom going to say? I really do hope it will be the answer I want to hear.
