The lights went out and I was turned towards Michael. My eyes started to adjust and then I could see he was staring at me too. In the pitch black darkness, I was able to see his smile. At that moment, "butterflies in my stomach", was no longer a phrase anymore. It was a feeling. I rolled over, nervous. After a minute he wrapped his arm around me, leaned in close and whispered, "I really like you." I nodded my head and I really hoped he could tell. I hope that he meant what I think he did.
Based off of the video game, Gone Home. Please do take notice that there will be some strong similarities between the book and the game, with a few things thrown in.
