Chapter 9: Solved

I got home right away after the incident happen between me and Hong Joo. I honestly didn't mean to shout at her like that. I just can't hold my temper anymore knowing that she wants me to stay away from Minjee. What's her problem?.......Oh right! Probably she's jealous because she said she's been longing for me for a long time. I don't know. That's what she says. My problem now is how to face the consequence. If my father will know this, he will probably be mad at me for hurting Hong Joo. He is the reason why I met Hong Joo and keeps on saying that I should date her so yeah!

I just ignore my thoughts and have a quick shower. After I've changed clothes, I decided to play games on my phone and after, I doze off to sleep.

The next morning~

I got up from bed and do my morning routine. Oh! It's Saturday! It means I don't need to go to work. I'm busy thinking on what will I do this day until something interrupt me. Ughh!! It's my phone......

"Shocks! No way!" I panicked. I decided to answer the call.

"Taehyung! You're dead to me! Get your ass off and come here! I wanna talk to you! You little brat!"

"Uhhh.... Appa! I'm sorr-"

"Come here quickly!"

"Oh okay!"

*I'm dead*

"Uhhh appa?" I said getting his attention from the newspaper he's reading. He stare at me like he's going to kill me if I come any closer. Yikes!

"Taehyung we need to talk" he finally said but it seems like he just control his temper down there and might explode anytime.
"Oh I see. What is it?" I ask as if I didn't have a clue. He will probably scold me about hurting Hong Joo.
"Don't act naive in front of my face Taehyung. It's about Hong Joo." He said.
"Yeah. What about her?" I asked.
"You two fight yesterday right? And you ended up hurting her. Why? Don't you like her? Isn't she enough? She has everything Taehyung. it's just your problem."
"It's not what you think dad. I just got angry to her cause she tells me to stay away from Minjee. How can I do that? Me staying away from my best friend?
Minjee would really beat me up for telling her a lame reason. A reason that didn't even make sense. That... I'm just ignoring her cause Hong Joo told me to do so. Wouldn't she be disappointed?" I explained.

Appa sighed. "Yeah yeah whatever. Okay I'll support you. But don't you like Hong Joo?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Uhmm...... I'm not sure of my feelings yet. Maybe I can't like her?"
"Oh? Okay. I understand. I can't force you anyway. So now, what's your plan?" He asked.
"I'm not yet sure. But I'll try to think about it. Don't worry. I'll try to sort things out." I answered.
"Okay. Just follow where your heart is." Appa said and wink at me. I was surprised and just chuckled at him.
"Sure! Anyways... Thank you dad. You're the best." I said and bid him goodbye.

As I was driving, my phone suddenly beep, I fish my phone from my pocket and answer the incoming call.

"Hello?"
"Yeah? This is Taehyung speaking."
"Uhmmm...Taehyung, this is Hong Joo."
"Oh"
"Can we talk? I'll meet you at the same park."
"Okay. I'm coming"
"Yeah. Bye"
"Bye"

And with that, I quickly go to the park to see Hong Joo. She turned to face me, a sad smile was formed in her face. We sit in a nearby bench and she started to start the conversation.

"Taehyung" she called.
"Hmm?" I hummed in response.
"I think...... It's better if we just remain as friends. I already set you free. I can accept things now that are not really meant to be mine. And maybe..... It's enough for me if we stay as friends. I can be more happy. Really." She said with a sincere tone in her voice. I turned to face her and caught her staring right back at me. I smiled at her and she also do the same.

"Okay! I think we already sort things out. Thank you Hong Joo. And yes! I'll be your friend. I'll be glad to do so." I smiled at her.

"Okay!" She grinned.

"Let's go! I'll drop you home" I said and with that, I dropped her home and bid her goodbye. I felt so free and happy all of a sudden. The things that happened between me and Hong Joo, are now solved. It means....this day, is a blessing.
