It's been seven years since the Hollow was imprisoned inside the Mikaelsons and five years since Klaus decided to keep his distance from Nina, Hope and Kenner to keep them safe. After being away for two years, Nina moved back to New Orleans to help...
Hope was lying in bed, listening to jazz music through headphones.
Flashback - 2021
Young Hope was listening to the same song on a radio in her room at the Salvatore Boarding School, she locked her door, removed her anti-magic bracelet and poured salt on the floor in a circle.
Young Hope was now standing in the middle of the salt circle, placing down a bowl, her book was in front of her and an branch was on the floor next to her. She knelt down, rolled up her sleeves and closed her eyes, snapping her fingers and used magic to light the candles surrounding her. Then she put the branch in the bowl of water, moving it around in a circle as she chanted.
"Demitte moi, demitte moi," Young Hope said.
Young Hope then stood as her spell transported her to Klaus' location.
Klaus ripped the heart out of a woman, making her scream, he had already killed the man sitting next to her and there was blood all over his face.

Hope was shocked. "Dad?"
Klaus turned around in surprise. "Get out!"
Young Hope instantly returned to her room at school.
Now
Hope was still listening to the jazz song, unaware that the petals of the vase of flowers next to her started to fall.

Freya was sitting on a couch, looking pensive.
"Sister," Klaus said.
Freya stood, looking at him and smiled as they approached each other.
"The years have been kind to you," Klaus told her.
They embraced each other, then pulled away.
"Well, you know, just sun block, the love of a woman and literal witchcraft," Freya replied. Klaus smiled. "You can't stay. Hope and Kenner's home."
"I have no interest in infecting my children with this darkness," Klaus said. "Once we've found their mother, I'll crawl back to whence I came. Freya, this city reeks of blood like it hasn't since the war of 1812."
"Yeah," Freya agreed. "Well, you're to blame this time. I know you spoke with Elijah and then hours later, it rained red."
Klaus walked past her. "No story that begins with water turning into blood has ever ended in triumph. I need to leave." He turned around. "Or things are gonna get worse. Tell me about Nina."

Kenner was in his room, reading. The flowers next to his bed started to die. Kenner looked at them in confusion and then realized what it meant.
