I laughed as Stone tried shooting at me with his gun only for me to move out of the way, lashing at him with my tendrils. Nick and that Evan kid were grappling on the floor, growling at each other.
'Kill him.' I hissed, ordering Nick to murder his accomplice. Stone reloaded his pistol, aiming it at me once again.
"Are you really going to try that again? I mean, look your other five shots." I taunted, gesturing to the dented metal wall behind me. Stone growled, getting into stance.
"I'll do anything it takes to put a bullet in your head, murderer." He spat, ignoring my bait. I rolled my eyes. 'How pathetic.' I heard a grunt behind me, but ignored it, getting ready for the bullet Stone is going to be firing. Suddenly, I felt someone unfamiliar brush into my mind angrily.
'Silver is that you?' I asked, growing slightly. 'Not good timing.'
The presence pressed farther into my mind, causing panic to course through me. Suddenly, Silver reared up in my mind, sending my mental state into a higher alertness.'No, it's something else... someone else.' She said, the fear in her voice evident. 'He- he's heading towards your memories, Jace!' I almost screamed in fear, my heart beat increasing drastically.
'Well what do we do?' I screamed, panicking. If whoever this was got into my memories, he could open scars that I would not like to be opened.
'It's- It's Evan!' Silver stuttered, surprised.
'WHAT?'
I whipped towards Evan, tendrils lashing angrily. 'How dare he!' Nick lay wheezing over to his right, his breathing ragged. 'Damn it. I'll guess I just have to kill him myself.' I raised my tendrils, pointing the sharp edges at him threateningly. Noticing me, Evan growled, launching himself deeper into my mind, breaking the mental wall I tried so hard to build up. I screamed as blinding pain exploded in my head, causing me to cripple down on my knees. Painful memories came bounding through the wall I built in my mind, parading around my head non-stop. Alex, him poisoning me, and everything he's done kept on replaying over and over in my mind, as if someone pressed the replay button in there. Evan also collapsed, screaming and pressing at his eyes, the memories most likely transporting into his head as well. More memories began playing, each one painful. I gasped as a memory of my parents flushed through my head, causing tears to well in my eyes.
"Stop it!" I screamed, clutching my skull. "Stop it, stop it, STOP IT!" My fingers raked across my arms, causing large, bloody scratches to appear as I tried to make the memories stop. Evan fell to the ground, eyes wide in fear, clutching his head in pain. The memories were still replaying. Over and over and over and over.
"It hurts!" I cried, clutching at my hair. I started sobbing, still raking my arms. Evan, seemingly out of his state, looked over at me and jumped up, running towards the first aid kit in the corner of the room. I screamed again as another toxic memory of Alex flooded into my mind, tears flowing freely down my face. Something small and cold suddenly pricked my skin, and I looked up in astonishment to see Evan stabbed a syringe into my arm, filled with some drug. My vision blurred and blackened around the edges, making my arms go heavy and drop at my sides.'Not again.' I groaned mentally before collapsing into unconsciousness, giving into the blissful peace of the drug.
Edit: The picture up top is Jace.
