I glided through the shadows of the dark city streets, smelling the disgusting smoke of drugs, following it towards my targets. A grin spread on my pale face as I pictured their terrified faces when I would emerge by them, the infamous Silver and her next
targets.

'What a wonderful night for a kill,' I thought blissfully, still grinning. 'Or more.' Emerging into the smoky alleyway, I curled my lip up in disgust, the toxic smell of weed invading my nostrils, angering me. I growled softly, glaring at the men sitting by s fire of garbage, chortling and smoking.

They were both young, maybe around sixteen or seventeen, wearing old hoodies and sweatpants with a few rips in them with old sneakers. They looked filthy, dirt smudging their faces and clothes while their greasy hair was matted with dust. They looked almost identical, laughing and shoving at each other jokingly like brothers.

'Kicked out by their parents, maybe? No matter, it'll make it easier for me.' I suddenly emerged from the shadow I was watching them in, startling the two as they jumped up, staring at me in fear.

"Lovely night, isn't it?" I smiled venomously, reaching for my powers. The silver presence brushed against mental hand, and I felt it spread through me, heading towards my finger tips. The boys were still standing speechless, mouths open and gaping like fish. "What, not going to talk to a stranger?" I began, taking time terrifying my victims, enjoying the look of pure terror on their faces. I can practically feel it rolling off them. "How rude. You're hurting my feelings." Glowing silver string slowly emerged from my finger tips, curling around my arms. I smiled from behind my marionette mask, feeling the familiar cold sensation as the string slithered through my skin, wrapping around me like snakes.

'Well, this is boring.' I though as the two teens did not move an inch, still staring at me in fear. 'I expected more of a reaction.' Without warning, I suddenly launched my strings towards the two, wrapping one around the shorter of the twos neck, lifting up off the ground as I dangled the other one by his feet, narrowing my eyes.

"You know, it's rather rude not to talk to someone!" I yelled, feeling anger coarse through me. My strings tightened and they screamed in fear, the sound echoing through the alleyway. I shook them, growling and shushing them. "Do you want the police to ruin our fun? Didn't your mother ever teach you to be nice?" Sirens turned on in the distance, echoing across the city. I rolled my eyes in annoyance, glaring at the boys. "Look what you've done! Now I can't even take my time." Slamming them both into the sidewalk, I began crushing them into it, ignoring their cries for help. "Oh, shut it already!" Fed up with their screaming, I finished them off by slamming their heads together, hearing a sickening crack! as both their skulls caved in, limbs dropping limply. "There," I said, dropping them. Their bodies lay together on the floor, leaning on each other as they bled, blood spreading across the pavement. "You're lucky I was merciful."

Turning on my heel, I looked down the dark, narrow pipe of a pistol, it's owner, a middle aged man with broad, muscled shoulders growled at me to stay still, calling in for back up. I sighed mentally, rolling my eyes. 'Yeah, right.' My strings suddenly wrapped around his feet, surprising him and pulling him down, lashing as they do when I get angry. He dropped his pistol and was reaching for it, pleading for help.

I kicked it away across the alleyway, standing over him threateningly. My strings curled around him, wrapping around his limbs and climbing up his body as he screamed in fear, trying to break them.

"It's not use," I frowned down at him. "They can't break, trust me, many people have tried." His eyes widened and he began pleading to me for mercy, saying he'd give anything I'd want to him if I let him go. I considered this thought, tapping my chin thoughtfully. "Hmm, that is a rather good offer, but," I held up a finger, stopping him. "I have no use for money, maybe... something else?" The officer froze in fear, staring at me with wide eyes. I continued on, a murderous plan forming in my brain. "I mean, you did ruin my playtime toys," I gestured over to the dead bodies of the druggies, not sparing them a glance. "But you could make up for it." Smiling deviously at him, I tightened my strings around him, feeling bone under his skin. The officer looked terrified and he tried inching away from me, only to be held in place by my strings.

"Perfect! What an amazing idea, Silver!" I forced him to say, and he complied under my strings pressure on him. "Wonderful." I grinned. My strings got even tighter, cutting into his muscle and he screamed, blood oozing out of his uniform. "Oh, don't even start, this isn't even the worst part." I slashed them across his exposed chest, then began doing the same to his legs and arms, enjoying the screams coming from his figure. "Quite a screamer, aren't you!" I laughed as the blood splashed on me, soaking into my grey trench coat.

"Stop!" A strong voice yelled down the alley, and I looked up to see bright, white lights shining down on me, with ninety military soldiers aiming their guns at me, faces emotionless. "Silver, you are hereby under federal arrest for the serial killings of over fifty innocent persons! You may come with us quietly or we would have to force you, now!" The man yelled, standing in front of the blinding white light. I squinted at him, trying to get a good look. All I could see were wide, tense shoulders and a straight, military-like back. 'Damn it.'

"You going to make me?" I yelled back tauntingly, lashing my strings evilly. I heard a chuckle come from the man, adding to my anger.

"If we must." Was all he replied, turning around and walking away. I growled at the soldiers, baring my teeth and lashing my strings, sharp points bared. Hearing a slight shoom, I felt a tiny prick on my neck and I hissed, grabbing at it. It was a tiny black dart, no larger than my thumb and no skinnier than a pencil, topped with small red and blue feathers, blowing slightly. 'Damn it.' I swayed, feeling my body go heavy as the tranquilizer spread through my body, causing me to collapse on the cold pavement, wincing. Shiny boots blocked my blurred vision, and I looked up to see the man standing in front of me, studying me like an insect. My eyes closed, and I felt my body drifting away into unconsciousness.

"I told you, if we must."
