Chapter 1: Still here

I've been here for awhile now but  not sure exactly how long that is. It could be a couple months or a couple years. I know that the normal person would wonder how I have no clue but it's actually pretty easy to understand. Sometimes I get so beaten up and worn out that i'll actually fall asleep for days at a time. Jace has been very good about making sure that there is no way for me to get get out and he has killed all of my hope. My once vibrate blue eyes with green and brown specks have faded to a dead grey. I can't even turn them red or blue when I get mad because I'm so weak. I am broken. My cell is small and the walls are made of concrete bricks. They're huge bricks to but I guess I should expect that since the cell is part of a medieval castle. There are many other cells but they hold no other prisoners. I'm all alone with just my mind. The cell door is a steel sliding door with a window that had bars guarding the glass. There's a tiny window at the top of my cell across from the door for me to look out of. My chains hardly let me see anything. I could probably barley squeeze through the window but it has bars that would prohibit my escape. Not to mention these chains. Chains lead to cuffs that keep agitating my ankles. My hands are still in fist locked away in some sort of restraints. They must be made for magical creatures because they keep my hands locked go tight.  I hardly remeber what they look like anymore. All the chains lead back to the wall. I've tried pulling them off but everytime I fail. I'm currently sitting on the floor up against the wall with my legs drawn close to my chest. My hands are trying their best to wrap around my legs but they can't really do much. The shade of my skin would probably make printing paper look tan. My once mid back length hair that was shiny, tangle free,  and healthy is now weak, dull, tangled, and worse of all it's waist length. I'm not sure what happened when I fought Jace but I woke up here. I woke up with these same damn chains restraining me. It's cold in here. I doubt a human would survive in here. My bare feet have gotten use to the chillness of the floor. My mid thigh length khaki shorts are dirty and my black tank top is worn. All I do is either sit here and wait for Jace to arrive or look out the window hoping that someday i'll be free again.  Jace always shows up unexpectedly. He'll sometimes leave me alone for quite a few days or he also sometimes will show up multiple times in a day. The black magic that he has gotten into is getting stronger. He is looking for ways to use me to his advantage. He takes my blood, saliva, hair,  and sometimes skin hoping to find a way to use it. I don't think he has found any useful way yet. He thinks that if I cry then my tears will be as of great use but I refuse to cry. No matter how many times I get whipped, or sliced with a knife,  or any other way of torture. I refuse because the only fun I get is pissing off Jace. I finally snap out of my daze and get up from the spot that I had occupied for a couple days now. The sun peaks through the window and my feet mindlessly carry me over. I shudder and blink a couple times as the chains drag the ground cause a scrapping noise that haunts me. The outside is beautiful today. The trees are just now getting their green leaves after a long winter while the birds sing happily upon the branches. My lips try to tug into a smile but it's as if they forgot how. My feet push a little farther but soon I'm jerked back because I'm out of chain length. I sigh before going back to my spot and sliding down the wall. I feel myself tense when the every hair on my body stands up because of one thing. Jace is coming down. I hear and smell him before I see him. He flutters in with the same smile and relaxed body that he always had. His eyes are pitch black from his practices and his dark chocolate hair is always messy. His skin is still pale as ever but one thing had changed. The first timenhe tried to draw blood from me I was able to shift. I scratched him across the face which caused a very ugly and noticeable scar to form from right above his left eyebrow to below his bottom lip on the right side. He wears his black jeans and leather jacket with black boots all the time. I honestly think he doesn't own other clothes or he has multiple sets of the same outfit.

"Well looks like my pet is awake for my experiment!" he stated happily.
I grumbled at him which only caused him to scoff at me.
"As if you could do anything. At least it's nice to see that your alive and well. Actually not that well but you are alive. So today we're gonna see if silver and wolfsbane affects you like it does other super natural beings. Don't worry it'll only feel like your being burned alive, " He snickered with a disgusting smile that made my stomach turn.
I looked at him with eyes full of hatred but no matter how weak I was I kept my back straight and my head held high because I wasn't about to show him any weakness. He pulled the cap off of a pretty big syringe and carefully placed it down on his small medical cart that he brought in. I closed my eyes tightly and clenched my my jaw so hard that I think my teeth could mend together. I felt Jace kneel beside my and grab my arm which made me shiver in disgust.
"First we'll try silver. You should thank me though because I engineered it to the point that if it has the same burning and weakening affect that it'll wear of quicker," Jace explained. The needle made contact with my wrist and I felt a cold substance flke into my body. After he released my I mentally prepared myself for the pain that he explain. I waited minutes before opening my eyes to see Jace with a mixed expression on his face. He looked angry, amazed, and almost sad.
"Well you're immune to silver which sucks for me but if I could find a way to use your blood in a protecting potion then maybe i'll be immune to," He stared.
I rolled my eyes while I look away from him.
"Now time for the wolfsbane?" I asked with a slight knowing of the answer.
"Of course but we're going outside first. If you are immune and can still shift I'd rather you not tear up this lovely cell," Jace answered.
I scoffed at him but he decided to ignore me. Fear started to make an appearance once I thought about shifting. I had blocked my wolf of from seeing anything do she wouldn't have to see or feel the abuse. I wanted to keep her safe but I knew that soon enough she'd have to see it. I slowly lowered my wall baking sure to do so in a cautious manner. I was afraid that she would break through and attack which we weren't strong enough for. After all this time I'm still learning about us. We are separate but yet we're one. She doesn't have a name like other werewolves have separate names for their wolf. She doesn't have a choice and we always feel the same thing. I think it may have something to do with also being half vampire. Jace walked until he was directly in front of me before kneeling down to eye level. He was far to close for comfort but then again as long as he was alive he was to close for comfort.
"You better behave or else you'll regret living. If you attack me I will have your throat. Do you understand?" he asked.
I gulped and nodded my head. He chuckled and stood up with a proud smirk before placing his hands over the metal square that all the chains originated from. His eyes closed as he started whispering words that were definitely not English. When he stopped his little chanting scene the chains broke free of the wall. They were in his hand and he smiled before tugging at them causing me to stand.
"I'll tell you directions. You are leading because I can't trust you," he stated.
I nodded before following his directions through every little twist and turn. Finally we arrived in an open field. I could still see my little cell window from here and the five vertical bars that trapped me. If I had a beating heart it would probably be beating out of my chest. I felt Jace grab the chains that held my hands.
"I'm going to take these off. Don't try anything, " He warned. I nodded my head in apprehension. I heard to clicks before the torture devices that killed my hands fell to the ground with a heavy thump. I instantly brought my hands out in front of me to inspect them. They enjoyed the foreign feeling of straightening out again. The light breeze moved over my face and brough the scents of nature to my nose. My moment was interrupted by Jace stabbing my arm with a needle. I let out a deep growl and shot him a scowl. He shrugged his shoulders before backing up.
"Now wait a minute and try to shift. Wait for my command to shift and shift back, " He informed.
I huffed before reluctantly nodding my head. I was ready and watching Jace closely.
"Now, " he said emotionlessly.
My mind didn't even think before shifting. Soon I was on all fours standing taller than Jace. My white fur with all different shades grey speckled throughout blew lightly in the wind. Jace stood in thought. I lowered my head to look him in the eyes. I knew my eyes held amusement  and laughter. Even though his eyes were pitch black I could see my reflection. The image they reflected was scary since my eyes were a deep grey. I whined without control. Jace looked at my with a raised eyebrow before looking away.
"Shift back, " He demanded and I listened. My fur rippled back into my skin as my frame shrank and reformed back to a human form. My form was taken over by chains once again and I was walked back to my cage.
