Just Friends

It was late and I was waiting at the airport with my best friend Danielle we were waiting for her boyfriend Liam, who also happened to be my bestest friend in the world.

"I'm going to grab a coke do you want one?" I ask because we have been standing there for about 30 minutes and she didn't know when Liam's flight actually came in., we could be here for awhile.

"Oh sure grab one for Liam too?" She asks still looking at the door.

"Already planning on i.t" I smile at her but she probably doesn't notice.

I buy three cokes from the vending machine and as I start to walk back I hear Danielle scream and in a blur run past me. My eyes fallow her to Liam. I smile and walk towards them, three cokes in my hand. I let them have their moment and Liam spots me. They break away from each other and he takes three steps towards me, picks me up and spins me around like we used to do when we were children and he sets me down.

"Beth! Its been a long time!" He says while he hugs me.

"It sure has!!" I give him his coke and look behind him at Danielle who was smiling with her hands clapped together in front of her chest I could tell she was happy. I break away from him and just as I do I hear a voice sing out.

"Oh Liam!!!" I look behind him in surprise as the rest of One Direction walks out from the baggage area and my eyes widen. I look at Liam again who was smiling sheepishly at me.

"They asked if they could come along and I couldn't say no." He says looking just a tad guilty.

"Why do you look so guilty?" I ask confused.

"Well, I'm staying with Danielle because my family's house is being tented because of that fruit fly problem and well you have the biggest house..." He quickly says while the boys make their way towards us.

What he was asking was if the guys could stay at my house.

I look at Liam and I just couldn't say no to my Best Friend, "Oh fine."

He hugs me tight again making it so I can barely breath, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

I watch as the guys meet with Danielle who was some distance away, they each give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Liam. Can't. Breath!" I mange to say.

"Oh right sorry." He says and leads me towards the guys. I was nervous, what would they think of me.

Liam pushes me in front of him, "Guy's this is Beth, you get to stay at her house because my house is being tented for fruit fly problems. But you are lucky because she her parents ow-"

I cover his mouth and look at the guys and wink, "It's a surprise"

Louis looks at me with a sly smile on his face, "A surprise?"

"Yep." I say finally feeling confident about them though my heart was still racing.

"I love surprises!" He picks me up in a swift motion and spins me around just like Liam did. Once he set me down I was dizzy. It took me a few seconds to see straight and then i turn around to look at the rest of the guys.

"Well lets get your stuff" I sigh but I smile at them.

Danielle and I watch as Liam leads them to the baggage claim.

"Well this is going to be an adventure isn't it?" she smiles and hugs me.

I hug her back, "It sure is."

"Okay does everyone have their stuff in the back of the van?" I ask as I try to push in all of their stuff.

Louis looks at they others,"I think so"

"Oh, let me help you with that." Harry appears next to me and helps me close the door.

I smile, "Thank you."

"Anytime babe." He winks at me and I roll my eyes.

I walk to the drivers side of the door and open the van with my keys just as the same time the four boys yell "Shot gun" And ram into the side of the van where the passengers seat was. I watch my eyes wide whit horror and look back at Danielle and Liam who were already in her small car laughing at me. I look back at they guys and I whistle with my fingers.

"Oi! Now listen I'm thinking of a number 1 through 100 and who ever gets it right can have the passenger seat." I say running my fingers through my hair, "Umm Niall you can start."

"Seven." He says his broad Irish accent coming through very clear.

"Okay Zayn?"

"Mm twenty four."

"Okay, Harry?"

"Sixty nine" He says giving me a sly smile and a wink.

I laugh, "You are automatically sent to the back perv."

"It was worth it." he shrugs his shoulders and look at the guys.

I unlock the back door of the van and let him get it.

"Okay Louis?"

"One hundred."

I look at him shocked, "You got it!"

"Woo!" He fist pumps the air and I unlock the door for him and Zayn and Niall's climb into the back with Harry.

"Alright, so Liam and Danielle are going to stop by at her house so he can unpack and shower and all that stuff so they will meet us later to go to dinner." I smile at all of them and head towards my house.
