♣15: Battle Ground♣

EUNISEs POV

The dinner table was lit up with laughs and conversations. Everyone including jungkook's parents went to have a pack dinner. Jungkook introduced me to the pack but it was not the Luna ceremony yet. Everyone had big smiles and hopeful eyes on me. I can't help but face them with confidence at how much authority I have. Jungkook's parents were the kindest wolves in earth. They treated me so well it's like the feeling of missing my parents we're gone in a second.

Despite the amazing night I can't help but feel my senses on guard. I was tense most of the time. I can't help but think that maybe tonight my father would attack. I did not want that to happen especially because the whole pack was here.

"Hey what's wrong?" Snapping me out of my thoughts were a worried Jungkook.

I mustered a smile. "Nothing."

He did not take it of course but he must've understood how I was not up for it. I sighed and hooked my arm to jungkook's. Some bowed down to us acknowledging our presence and slow music played at the back.

"A dance malady?" Jungkook has his hand stretched out for me to take. I smiled at him and took it.

He pulled me close to his chest and his face inches away from mine. All the thoughts from awhile ago away at how amazing my mate looked in front of me.

"Aren't you beautiful?" He moved his head to whisper to me. Shiver ran down my spine at the flow of his breath.

"You can answer that yourself." I whispered back.

Soon his hold tightened and we danced at the slow romantic music that I noticed my other pack members dancing with their own mates. I smiled at how peaceful and happy.

Crash*

The whole room fell silent. It's like air was suck out from everyone and we just stayed still. No one dared to move except for Jungkook. He's brown eyes turned to obsidian black as his head scanned the room. I too snapped out of my thoughts and looked over everyone hopefully they were safe and search for the silhouette of my aunt. After couple of seconds everyone started running away from those broken glasses and escaping ,a whole stampede happened while I shout aunt's name.

A hand grabbed my elbow completely yanking me to face them. The touch sent spark sensations and I relaxed knowing it was just Jungkook. His eyes were dark and worry laced his expressions.

"Eunise ,go out and guide the pack to the emergency cabins and stay there." He said in a strict tone.

My eyebrows furrowed at his command completely knowing he wanted me to be safe.

"No ,I'll stay by your side." I fired back.

His expression hardened getting irritated by the way I act. Can you really blame me? An attack just occurred and I'll be at the back cabin safe while my mate could possibly be dying somewhere? No thank you. I can also feel like the attack has something to do with my dad and I would not want Jungkook to face him instead of me. My father wants me and he won't stop unless he has what he wants.

More crashing noises come from outside and we both flash our heads to the direction and saw warriors running to that direction. Jungkook was still contemplating wether to let me come or not but I had no time for that. I ran in my inhumane speed out.

'Eunise I told you to go back.' Jungkook's husky tone filled my mind but I payed no mind but looked over my pack warriors fighting rogues ,some were shifted but some used weapons. Soon jungkook's warmth filled my left side and he too froze in his spot seeing the mess in front of our eyes. This was a mess indeed.

Everyone was just enjoying this ceremony that was suppose to be my night but my lunatic of a father took it. Jungkook sighed before running his hands through his dark hair before looking over me with worry.

"You better not get hurt or I'll go ballistic." He said before he ran out to help.

I nodded even though he left and I too ran to everyone for help. It was definitely a struggle fighting in a dress. I cut of the cloth where my knee is at and thanked myself for wearing a cycling.

A pack member was down on the ground and a big dark brown wolf was snapping his jaws at him and he was struggling to keep him away from his face. I ran as fast I can before kicking He wolfs gut making him fly a few feet before pulling the guy back up and his weapon.

"Be careful." I reminded him.

"Thank you Luna." He bowed before attacking another wolf.

Soon another wolf ,smaller than the other one but had black fur and was faster approached me from my back but I felt their presence and was able to hold their neck and threw them and their back hitting the tree near by. He whimpered before standing up and shaking his head and snarled his teeth and charged back at me. I was now on position and ready to take his attack.

His moves were fast but I had my own reflexes to my advantage. He snapped his jaw to my side hoping to bite them but I was able to grab their hind leg and twist it while hearing the bone crack making me smirk. He howled in pain and limped his way to attack me. I took this chance to help other wolves. It was already a big case when they had sprained a leg because this could affect their performance so I did. I did not want to finish a wolf either ,it brings to much guilt within me.

With that thought I ran to the others and helped them break a few limbs and hopefully stop them to get hurt more. From a far I can see Jungkook fighting some wolves ,his reflexes were fast and he is well trained. He had a few cuts that made me frown but continued to injure a wolf coming to me. I must say my father really had this much connections to give us this many rogues but then again he was my father so anything was possible.

I had some cuts here and there when I had to injure two wolves at the same time because they both decided to make me their prey but since I trained enough for this I was able to break and clash their heads together and made them unconscious. Soon the hair on my back flew up and I knew something was wrong.

'Jungkook?' I mindlinked him while frankly looking for his figure.

'Yeah? What's wrong?' Relief wash over me as I hear his breathless voice probably because of battling.

If there's nothing wrong with him then that means...

A/N

Okay wow. I don't even know where to start. It depends on you guys if you wanna read my explanation for being inactive but here it is:

first of all I took a break. I took a break from writing because I kind of lost motivation to write but that did not mean I would quit writing. ABSOLUTELY WRONG. I wouldn't want my readers to be left hanging because that just hurts because I had those moments where the author just randomly stops where they hit the climax of the story and it sucks-

Second my classes just started. I'm in high school btw and because of that it's more hectic now as I move higher and I really wanna do better this school year because who doesn't? But I also wanted to read and write but obviously I can't do both at the same time because that's just too much.

Whenever I see your guys comments like
"Update please"
"Author please update."
"Update."
It breaks my heart because I feel bad for keeping you guys wait ,I want to give you guys an update ,I really do but I just can't write. Now I took some time of to at least finish this chapter I left hanging to at least give you guys.

I'm truly sorry for those who waited so long for this update. I promise I will be back with more updates on a regular schedule but for now I hope you guys can give me some time to look for myself and place this in order. I don't know when's the next update. But I promise there will be.
