                                              The story takes place in the United States, so it follows an American school year (school starts in late August and ends in early to mid May).
                          Also, remember that in this story you are apart of the graduating class of 2017. I know that's already past, but I started the book in 2016 (I think), so it obviously made sense then. 
                          Just a few things to keep in mind!
