We drive to the butcher's shop first.Nathan,a police surgeon is in a police ambulance. He has brown hair and a pale complexion with a set of glasses.Jones chose his car to drive to,so I sit beside him on the passenger seat while he drives.
"So you're coming to the party?," Jones asks all of a sudden. After what happened I decided to stay quiet instead of saying or doing anything.
"I don't know,I'll think about it.What about you?," I ask.
He shrugs.
"Yeah I'll be there. You should come, who knows maybe you'll make friends," he says with a smile, as he takes a turn.
"I'll come," I say.We enter into a narrow lane as Jones parks his car.The car is very comfortable and beautiful from the inside as well as outside. Alex wasn't wrong about him being rich. We both move out of the car.The ambulance comes right up behind and Nathan steps out of it.
"The whole area is already sealed, police officers came and took the body for analysis,we need to get evidence and question the owner here," Jones says.
I notice a middle aged man looking at us with a worried face with a young girl beside him.
"Is that the owner?," I ask.
"Only one way to find out," says Nathan. We walk over to them and show our badges.
"I'm Detective Wither and this is Officer Waterloo,we need to ask you a few questions,if I'm right you're the owner here and this lady is your daughter." he says with any second thought.Woah,he knew that?smart.
"I...I don't know anything, please leave us alone," he says trembling.
Jones looks at them harshly.
"When did this happen and how did the victim get here?" I ask.
His daughter turns towards me angrily.
"We told ya we don't know a damn 'bout it!She was dead when we came here this morning," she says, glittering out.
Nathan looks dismissively at them.
"Look, its gonna be simple and easy, tell us what we ask and you get to go,you gotta be cooperative Raoul so ask your daughter Trish too," he says.
"Tell us whatever you know," Jones says.Raoul looks hesitantly at us.
"I came here this morning and entered my shop.Sally was a regular customer here and I don't know who did this to her.Trish is always careless and stays out with her damn boyfrie-"
"Pa!," Trish cuts him off,angrily.
Raoul ignores her and carries on.
"I found her butchered and hanged.I couldn't resist it and called the police as quickly as I could!," he says quickly.
Trish at the side smirks.I have a bad feeling about her.
"Tell me Trish, were you and Sally on good terms?," I ask.
She looks at me with a bored expression.
"I'm glad the brute's dead,I hated her,she used to keep on messing with my boyfriend, flirtatious brat."
"And where is this mysterious boyfriend of yours,Matt I assume," Jones asks.
"How the heck do you know so much?," she asks surprised.
"They don't call me a detective for no reason, bring him, where is he?," he says.
She looks devastated and heads out muttering something under her breath."Wait,I'll go with you," I say and follow her.
She takes me to a room upstairs and I walk inside.Certainly,a boy of the same age as Trish walks back and forth and is surprised at seeing me.
"Trish,I need to talk to him alone, please step out."
She looks suspiciously at me and walks out.
"Look I don't have anything to do with this!",he exclaims loudly.
"Did you know the victim?," I ask.
"No..no I didn't,what're you talking about."
"Look,I need to know everything,just tell me,I won't hurt you," I say.
He looks dejectedly at me and drops down to a seat nearby with his head in his hands.
"She used to come here and buy meat,I used to work here with Mr.Colleti, sometimes we talked but then this happened and I still can't believe it."
"She was someone dear to you?," I ask.
"I....I don't know,no,nothing," he says looking away.
I nod.
"I know you're hiding something but I'll figure it out."
With that I walk out of the room and head back where Nathan and Jones wait.
They all look at me expectantly.
"I'm done with the questioning."
Jones nods,"Very well."We head back to the car and take some important things we could find for analysis. All of this sums upto Trish and Matt.Something's not right.Nathan goes back with the ambulance to the headquarters with the blood test and the evidence we found .I follow Jones towards his car.
"I think we should go towards the victim's house, see her mother,"
He looks at me and smiles.
"And that's exactly where we're going, come on," he says getting inside.
