♧ Chapter 7 ♧

"Could you have guessed it?" Nik asked as they watched the couple skip away, "Not in a toads age... But I love it!"

After congratulating Harry on overcoming the Hungarian Horntail, Audrey made arrangements with some friends to open the egg at night, "Bring some food, wands and a whole lot of anxiety at what's in this egg" she hissed to Rodney and Rachel, before sprinting off to find Nik. Leaping through the crowd she spotted his blonde, shiny head peaking over the other students heading up to the school; "Nicky! Nik you oaf! Hellooo!!"
"What do you want with my brother, Dursley?" Of course, the only Malfoy she didn't want to see right now was the one she followed, "I need to talk to him. What's it to you anyways Malfoy?"
"I bet you'll do more than talk you mudblood. You don't belong with my brother!" He said with venom in his tone, "That's your brothers choice who he wants to be with Dungbreathe, now if you'll excuse me" she growled barging into his shoulder, "Don't think this is the end you- you..."
She got out of earshot before she could hear the rest.

Luckily, she found him in the library moments later, "Hey" she whispered, resting her head on his shoulder; "Hey Princess, congrats"
"Thanks. We're having a little celebratory party tonight, just friends and of course you-"
"Why am I not a friend?"
She blushed profusely, "Cause your more than my friend you dummie. You coming or not? Please say yes"
"Of course. I'd never refuse you because you'd curse me senseless" they chuckled, Audrey leaned in to kiss his cheek and murmured, "True. I love that you get me." They sat together for a while, holding hands, occasionally kissing, before Madame Pince almost caught them, "Blasted children! Wherever they are I'll find them!" Together they sprang passed her, towards the kitchens before they parted ways... until the party starting shortly.

"Alright girls, we have a code red! Party! Audrey gots to impress her new boyfriend!" When she entered the dormitory, she hadn't realised the bedlam she walked into.
"He's the only boyfriend I've had guys" she laughed watching them halt their chaos, "What?!" The Huffelpuff girls screamed in unison, dragging her into the bathroom. Sweet as they were, second year witches weren't the best at make-up, except "Tahlia is muggleborn, she's very good! Please Tahli will you??" Liza pleaded at her knees dramatically, "Duh! We're all family in this dorm, come here Audrey- let's get you ready"
"What about you guys? You've got to get ready-"
"We're all ready. You're surprisingly unprepared, Tahli: do you're muggleborn magic."

Liza was correct in saying, Tahlia was truly incredible at make-up, the only times Audrey had worn makeup was as a young girl rummaging through her mother's vanity; though she looked like a troll in Petunia's cosmetics, she felt absoloutely enchanting now. Her slowly fading rose hair was held up in a messy ponytail, complimented by her glossy blush lips, rose eyeshadow and minimal eye liner. She threw on a denim shirt and a glittery black and gold mid-length top, Liza cried at the sight of her like a mother would to a child, "I love this!!"
"Liza you need to relax, although it is truly magnificent work Tahli"
"Thanks Georgia. I'd do the same for all you stupid idiots- come to think of it you're blonde highlights need touching up" she smiled sweetly. The girls gathered into a group hug before sneaking out of the common room.

"Where did you tell them we were meeting?" Rachel hissed, holding up her wand to shine some light down the dark castle corridors, "I said to meet at the Astronomy Tower" Audrey whispered, "knowing the guys they've probably not even set up-" she gasped, "Oh my god..."
Throw pillows everywhere in sight and bright glowing fireflies floating just above them, an array of foods sat in the middle of the Astronomy tower floor, looking out over the grounds; "A tone of surprise, Princess?"
"Nik, you guys sure know how to make a party" Liza awed, enchanted by the pile of chocolates in front of her. Nik laughed half-heartedly, "It wasn't just me, give these guys some credit too" he smiled gesturing to Harry, Ron, Ginny and Hermione who were all dressed up too. "Now that we're all here, I say: Let's get this party started!!!"
