Chapter 11

Chapter 11...

I opened the tent to see Henry awake. I went to hug him. "Henry, you're awake!" I said happily while hugging him. He hugged me back a little tight, at least it was not tight to kill me. "What happened exactly?" I asked to him. He didn't respond. He remained silent. "Henry?" I asked him. He wouldn't respond, as if he was thinking of something or not.

I waved my hand in front of him. "Hello, Henry? Earth to Henry." I said to him. He snapped back to reality. "Oh, sorry..." He said. I made a pout. "You got me worried there!" I said while pouting. Henry softly laughed. "Ah, sorry." He said to me. I handed him his clothes, which was in a neat pile. "T-thank you..." He said to me. I nodded.

"I'll be outside if you need me." I said to him and left the tent. While leaving, I saw him nod and began to dress.

Few minutes later...

He came out, back in his mage outfit. "Glad to see you're alright." Chrom said to him. Henry nodded. I feel glad that he's fine too. I...I don't want to admit this but I don't want to lose Henry. It's like he's the only person to make me really happy. I can feel Chrom's eyes on me. "Make sure to take care of him." I nodded in reply. "Of course, Chrom." I responded politely with a smile. Chrom smiled back before leaving. I looked at Henry who was looking at me.

I saw a grin appear on Henry's face. "Nya ha ha! Looks like you're really gonna stand by me, huh?" I looked at him with a pout again. "I mean, I have to! You fainting over there really got me worried!" I can hear Henry's laugh stop the moment I said it. Wait...was that a sensitive thing for me to bring up?

"Oh...uh..." Henry started but stopped. He looked around before looking at me dead in the eyes. "Ricken...the reason why I faint sometimes...is well...because-"

"Hey, Ricken!"

Vaike's voice cut him off as he walked up. I turned and looked at him. "Vaike! Hello!" I greeted with a smile. I can see Henry waving. "Maribelle wants to see you for tea." I felt myself flinch a bit, since when did Maribelle wanted to see me? "Uh...sure..." I responded shyly before walking towards where Maribelle was at.

I didn't even see Henry's reaction.

After having tea with Maribelle, I trained for the rest of the day. What I notice was that Henry was being a bit distant as when I tried to get near him, he moved away from me a little. I tried to do it again, but he then said that he needed to talk with Chrom about something before leaving.

I don't know why he is acting like that nor if he actually talked with Chrom.

Oh well.

I continued to train, using my Fire and Wind tombs. I decided to focus solely on my Wind tomb after finishing with my training for the Fire tomb.

"Wind!" I yelled and I felt the wind blades unleash from the tip of my fingers.

...Although I didn't anticipate the wind blades going straight into a tree in front of me. I saw the blades hit the tree, which caused scratches on it. I gasped softly at that. Was I too unfocused up the point where it didn't hit the target? It seemed so. I suddenly heard the sound of creaking. I looked and saw the tree was about to collapse on me.

"Oh crud!"

Suddenly, I felt someone hold me close and jump out of the way, causing the tree to crash onto the ground with no people underneath it. I did shut my eyes when I braced to be crushed by the tree so I didn't see who grabbed me out of the way.

"Ricky, are you okay?"

That voice...

I opened my eyes and saw Henry. He genuinely looked worried for me. "Y-Yeah...I'm alright..." I replied back, blushing at the sight of him in front of me as well as the position we were in from that.

Henry noticed and blushed as well. Our lips were close as if a magnet was pulling us close together. "Um...uh..." He stuttered out and we both got off the ground, Henry helping me up.

"Sorry about that..."

"It's okay..."

Months passed. We fought in enemy battles with Risen, Plegia soldiers, and various other enemies. Marriages also occurred during these passing months. Me and Henry spent more time with each other and having some "fun" times when we were alone.

I sighed quietly as I sat in my tent. I always wondered about my love for Henry. I really do love him and he loves me, which is wonderful.

I heard footsteps approach. The tent was opened to reveal Laurent coming in. "Oh! Laurent, hello!" I greeted back and he nodded as a greeting.

"Henry was on a search for you." Laurent said, which meant one thing. Henry was looking for me.

"He was? For what?"

He shrugged. "He didn't tell me. He said it was a surprise for you."

I stood up. That got me really curious. "Well...I might as well find out, right?" Laurent nodded in agreement. We both exited my tent and it seems that Laurent saw Miriel as he walked towards her. Ah, a mother and her son.

I smiled at the sight before walking around to find Henry. Laurent did say that he was looking for me. It feels like Henry has something planned. I suddenly bumped into someone and I looked who it was: Henry.

"Oh hi! Finally found ya!" Henry said happily as he pulled me into a hug. I hugged back instantly, not minding any hugs he gives to me.

"Come with me for a second. And close your eyes." I nodded and followed his lead, closing my eyes in the process. Even though my eyes were closed, I can feel him leading me somewhere. We continued walking until Henry stopped. "You may open your eyes now."

I opened my eyes and gasped at the sight. Beautiful flowers were around as we stood in a flower garden in a forest. I looked around as I quite enjoyed the sight. "Henry...this is so beautiful..." I said as I enjoyed the sight of flowers around me, each having vivid colors and numerous shades.

I turned around and saw Henry on one knee with a ring with what appears to be a green stone on it in his hand. I gasped softly at this as my mouth was covered by both of my hands.

"Ricken, I'll love you with all my life. You treated me in kindness that no one ever has done to me. You are my sunshine, my light in darkness, my everything. Ricken, will you marry me?"

I was still taken off guard by this. But to be honest, I always wanted to be with Henry. Tears began to fall down my face as I shakily nod. I can see Henry smile, but not a sadistic smile. It was more like a genuine happy smile. His eyes was also open, revealing his grayish purple eyes.

"Y-You will?"

I nodded. "Yes! I will marry you!" I said happily as I also began crying. Henry shakily chuckled, I think I see tears forming in his eyes. I held out a hand and Henry slid the ring in one of my fingers. We both looked at each other, smiling proudly.

Suddenly, I felt a rush of happiness go through me. I jumped into Henry's arms, him luckily catching me. We both cried happily as we knew that we couldn't wait for our wedding.

"Let's go tell the others " I stated.

He nodded.

We both continued to happily cry.
