It's been a while since I got the promise ring from Normani and we are still going good and strong but as couple we have our moments.

My recovery was faster and better than doctors expected which meant I could finish the rest of my basketball season.

Coach said I could join the team again and regain my job as captain if I took care of myself and started training since we have at least a three weeks left till the season is over.

The next two weeks we have four games and then the last week is championships if we win 3 out of the next 4 games.

And since I wanna be captain of the team again I've been practicing nonstop, my routine is wake up and eat, go to school, go to practice, go home, eat, workout, homework, sleep.

And yeah it's hectic but there's nothing wrong with my routine except one thing, Normani doesn't pop up a lot in my routine.

Normani got a job and she has school just like me, we see each other at school it's just we never make time for each other and if we do it gets canceled and I feel bad cause I'm the main one who cancels.

From Baby 😍💕 - can you come over? I got off early and would love to see you

To Baby 😍💕- I didn't have time to eat before workouts 🤷🏽‍♀️ I was gonna eat something and then head to sleep

From Baby 😍💕- come on Dinah we can go get something to eat, I'll pay. Baby all I'm asking for is a little time with you, it's the least you can do since you missed our last date to go play ball with the boys.

To Baby 😍💕- I apologized baby I'm still sorry about it but you got a point. I'm omw beautiful so be ready.

From Baby 😍💕- yay!! Okay see ya baby😘

I'm tired as hell right now and I don't really wanna get up and go but I haven't spent time with my girl in awhile.

I showered real quick and put on some adidas sweat pants and a white tank top and some nike slides, put my hair in a bun and grabbed my glasses, keys and phone and walked to my car.

I pull up in Normani's drive way and step out the car and take a seat on the hood of the car before texting her telling her I'm outside.

A few moments later she walks out the house and locks the door and starts heading down the stairs.

She runs to me as I stand up, she grabs me by the neck and kisses me deeply and I place my hands on her hips.

"What was that for?" I say after she pulls away

"I've missed you baby" she said softly

I grin and lift her chin with my finger  and place a small kiss on her lips

"I missed you too, come on let's go." I say as I walk back to the car.

We get in the car and I pull out of the drive way, I look over at Normani and she smiles at me as I grab her hand and kiss her knuckles and interface our fingers before driving off to a little diner.

We arrive and walk in and sit at a booth and I sit in front of Normani and we both look at the menu even though we both know we will get our usual.
