Normani's Pov

I'm finally home, I just walked through the front door of my house and sighed once i smell the fresh smell of my moms favorite strawberry scented candle.

I walk upstairs to my room and drop my bag down before kicking off my shoes and lying down on my bed.

I reminisce back to the events that happened today, not only did I have an actual conversation with Dinah but I also have her number.

I slip my hand into my pocket and pull out the slip of baby blue paper that had beautiful hand writing and number from the brown eyed goddess.

I pick up my phone and stare back and forth at the paper and my phone, Contemplating wether or not I should text her.

I sigh and unlocking my phone and  
Putting in the girls phone number.

Normani:
Hey Dinah, it's normani.
When should we start working on our project?
Delivered- 5:16

I sighed and locked my phone and threw it to my side.

Every five minutes I would check my phone hoping she would reply.

It's now 8:30 and she still hasn't replied, I keep thinking about the worst.

I sent it to the wrong person

She gave me a fake number

She's ignoring me

I shake my head almost as an attempt of shaking the thoughts out of my head.

I decide to take a shower, so I can calm down and get Dinah out of my head a little bit for the rest of the night.

I get out of the shower and dry my hair and put on some black and white nike gym shorts and a black spaghetti strap tank top.

I sit on my bed and grab my phone, I unlock it and a huge smile appears on my face.

Dinah Jane:
Hey beautiful! Sorry for the late reply 😕 I was at practice and I got home and took a shower immediately. But we can start tomorrow after school, I have no practice tomorrow so I'm free 💕

I smile and reply back

Normani:
Oh it's fine!! No worries, and tomorrow is great 😊 hopefully we can get to know each other more tomorrow

As soon as I sent it the text bubbles start popping up.

Dinah Jane:
why not tonight? 😉💕

I blush and reply back.

Normani:
That's definitely not a problem 💕

Dinah Jane:
Can I call you?

My heart starts racing and my mind is going crazy deciding whether or not I should say yes.

Normani:
Sure 😊

About 2 minutes later her name popped up on my phone and I wait one second before answering.

Dinah Jane 🤤💕 is calling...

Normani :
Hello
Dinah:
Hey beautiful, whatcha doing?
Normani:
Just sitting on my bed talking to you..
Dinah:
Haha same, but anyway I'm glad you're my partner in bio. I've always wanted to talk to you but I've never had the chance
Normani:
Same here
Dinah:
Now that we have the chance tell me all about you...

~ Three hours later~

It's now 12:30 am and I'm just now getting off the phone with Dinah.

All she wanted to know about was me, like my favorite color and food then as time progressed she started asking deeper questions.

The first hour or so I became more open with her, she's honestly so sweet and open and care free.

I learned about her and how she's more than just some basketball phenomenon, she's a regular teenage girl.

She told me about her life, her family and what made her start playing sports.

We made plans to meet each other tomorrow after school at a café, close to the school.

I'm feeling all sorts of feelings right now, I'm happy because I'm talking to my crush but I'm also nervous because of what could happen tomorrow.

I don't know but I feel like something good will come out of this.

Maybe I wasn't the only one admiring from a far.
