Ever since that night me and Dinah had, she's been nothing but good too me, we've had a lot of sex but that's not what I mean by good too me.

She's been taking me out more and spoiling me more and she takes care of me like I'm a queen.

I asked Dinah why she's been so good to me lately and her answer wasn't something I expected.

"Baby?" I said

"Yes, gorgeous?" She replied while rubbing my head as I laid my head on her lap.

"Why have you been so wonderful to me lately?"

"Because after we took that step, I realized I really do truly love you. Yeah okay I've had sex before, but I've never made love before and me making love with you makes everything more perfect. I wanna take care of you, not just your body but you all together, mentally and physically babygirl." She replied

I sat up and looked at her.

"What? Did I say something wrong?"

I shook my head no before replying.

"You said everything right. I love you Dinah Jane"

"I love you too Normani kordei" before placing a kiss on my lips.

As we lay down watching a movie, I get a phone call from summer.

"I'll be right back baby" I say as I place a kiss on Dinah's forehead

She smiles and nods.

"Hello?" I say

"Hey boo, I hope I didn't interrupt anything"

"Nah you good, wassup?"

"Look y'all know how me and tori have been dating and everything but mani I really love this girl. She's everything I ever wanted and I didn't realize that the greatest gift from god was right in front of my eyes this whole time. What I'm trying to say is, i wanna give her something special to show her I promise to love her unconditionally. I wanna get her a promise ring."

"Summer are you serious?"

"Yes,why wouldn't I be?"

"I don't know it's just a big step honestly, it's close too an engagement ring. Promises are big already"

"I know mani but trust me I really see a future with tori, I see myself marrying this girl but we are still in highschool."

"You must really do like her"

"I love her mani, I'd do anything to show her that."

"I'm happy for you summer but what does this have to do with me?"

"Oh yeah, haha, I need you to help me pick out a promise ring."

"Why didn't you ask Daya or lani?"

"Because your relationship with DJ is my OTP and I see you picked out a good girl, so why can't you pick out a good ring?"

"Summer shut up"

" what? I'm being serious, okay maybe that was a little extra but I really trust you mani, I want this to be perfect and I know your the one too make it happen"

" alright girl, I gotchu."

"Thank you so much manz, I'll come by tomorrow and we can go to the jewelers"

"Alright summer, bye girl"

I walk back in the room and lay back on the bed with Dinah but I lay my head on her chest and she pulls me close.
