It was Friday, nearly two weeks later, and Severus had called me down to his office for a reason I did not know.

I entered at his signal, finding the furniture all pushed against the walls, the ceiling tall, and Severus standing in the middle of the room.

"Good," he said, pleased. "You came, like I told you to do."

Raising an eyebrow, I replied, "What exactly are we doing?"

"I offered to teach you the Patronus Charm, did I not?" he answered, smirking at my nod. "Well, get over here, then."

Doing as told, I drew closer to him as he summoned a straw dummy, like the ones back at Camp Half-Blood. He placed it across from him, against the wall, and pulled out his wand. He indicated that I should do the same.

"I want you to stand where I am," he said, waiting until I complied. "Now, imagine the dummy is a dementor. You are to focus on a happy memory, and say the incantation: Expecto Patronum."

I nodded, silently going through my memories in order to find the one I wanted, when I came across a memory just after the second war. I was with Annabeth at the time, and we had been sitting on a bench in Camp, simply talking. It was just before Nico had come up to us and admitted he had a crush on me.

The memory itself made me feel saddened now, but at the time, it was a very happy memory.

"Expecto Patronum," I murmured, pointing my wand at the dummy.

A silvery-gas-like-thing suddenly swirled out of my wand, before disappearing. I frowned, wondering if I should have chosen a different memory.

"What memory are you using?" Severus questioned, watching me intently.

I paused. "A memory with Annabeth," I answered reluctantly.

"You may want to use a memory more powerful than that," he suggested.

Attempting to find a stronger memory, my thoughts were broken by the sudden overwhelming feeling of Severus' presence next to me. I could feel his body heat from where he stood; hear his deep breathing; smell his subtle cologne.

I used his presence to fuel my power and channel it through my wand, saying, "Expecto Patronum."

A glowing figure burst from my wand, quickly forming what looked to be a silver dragon. It flew around the room, only barely managing to move for how big it was.

It landed in front of Severus and I, lowering its head in a bow. Wonder rushing through my veins, I raised my hand to its head, feeling something rough and hard underneath my palm, before the dragon dissolved into thin air.

"Well," Severus muttered in shock as I lowered my hand. "I certainly wasn't expecting that."

"Neither was I," I agreed.

We moved the furniture back to where it was originally, deciding to simply talk for a little while, as curfew wasn't for another hour or so. Severus sat behind his desk, while I sat in one of the visitor's chairs, fidgeting with the hem of my robes.

"So," Severus started. "Do you know what exactly your Patronus is? I know there are two kinds of Dragon Patronuses, but I have not seen either of them."

"I believe mine is the Eastern Dragon Patronus," I said. "It's probably my Patronus because they lord over the water, sky, and earth ― which I do as well ―, and they are extremely powerful."

"There's no doubt that you're powerful," Severus stated, shuffling papers around.

An idea suddenly struck me. I got up, coming around the desk and pulling Severus to his feet by his hand, before dragging him out of his office and down the corridors.
