-later that day-

Luke dialled Mr Narren's number for the millionth time and waited exactly three seconds before Mr. Narren spoke from the other end.

"Hello?" Mr. Narren greeted sleepily.

"Hi" Luke smiled, even though Mr. Narren wasn't able to see him.

"What is it that justifies you calling me at 3 in the morning?" Mr. Narren's voice with groggy with sleep, but his annoyance was still clear. But Luke could not care less. Nothing was going to break his mood.

Even though Luke felt a little bit sad because Mr. Narren didn't answer any of his calls, but him picking up finally eased his slight sadness.

"Good news, I think. Some interesting stuff has happened to me today, and I'm very excited!" Luke jumped up and down, his happiness and joy extending through the line.

"Okay, calm down. I'm sure Mr and Mrs. Hemmings would not appreciate your destruction to their home" Mr. Narren responded, ignoring what Luke mentioned.

Luke's voice rose, all excitement draining from him as a darker emotion took over.

Holding the phone just a little bit tighter in his hand, he growled in Mr Narren's ear.

"I live in this house too. And I just told you something important! Why change the subject?" Luke tensed and clenched his fists although Mr. Narren wasn't able to see him.

"5pm, my office" Mr. Narren said, ignoring Luke's growing anger.

"Whatever you please, Stan"

"It's Mr. Narren to you"

"Whatever. I was only playing along, old man"

"It's not that either, it's St--"

"Yeah, yeah I know. Bye, Stan"

"Bye, Spaghetti"

Luke hit the big red button, thus ending their call. Sure, Mr. Narren was very formal, but Luke had grown to consider him a Father, perhaps more.

Luke pulled the covers tightly around himself, warding of the cold air that assaulted his bare chest.

Minutes passed by as Luke thought about what Stan might have to say about his new friends. Ashton and Penelopè. He would be shocked, of course. But he would be happy too.

He was his therapist after all.

As more thoughts continued to swarm Luke's mind, dark spots began to clog his vision as he fell asleep.

-earlier that day-

Luke was about to re-call Mr. Narren for the fifth time in row when a familiar brown-haired guy walked inside the food court with a smaller, way too familiar, figure. This time, however, a woman, probably in her thirties, approached with them.

The small Penelopè yanked her wrist from Ashton's grasp and ran into Luke. He didn't know what to do so he stood there awkwardly waiting for anyone to say anything, but nobody spoke.

After moments of awkward silence, the woman approached Luke as he panicked internally.

"Hi young boy," the woman greeted Luke. She must have been their Mother.

"Hello," Luke answered, receiving a quick nod from Ashton and a small smile from Penelopè who still clung to Luke's leg.

"This my Mom, Anna" Ashton informed Luke, confirming his earlier assumption.
