[Background: if you watched mlp, you already know this, just a slight twist. Basicly,The gang are dragon riders, or part of the ancients. They are the last living memebers after all the others were killed in a battle against the dark ones. In the mlp univers they would be known as the alicorns. Astrid is not a pure ancient. She is half dark one and half ancient. Just like mlp, they need powerful beings to raise the sun and moon. Hiccup raises the sun and Astrid, the moon. At this point, Lilian, her sister, is trying to corrupt Astrid into turning to her dark side. Think of Astrid as Luna. ]
"It used to be so simple
It was a world I understood" Astrid walked down the hall.
"I didn't know what I didn't know" She walked down a long hallway, her dress streching behind her.
"And life seemed pretty good" She had a smile and twisted her wesding ring on her finger.
"But now the darkness rises" She feels the unnerving presence of Lilian floating next to her.
"From somewhere deep inside of me" She sucks in a deep breath as she feels Lilian take hold of her magic again.
"Her power overtakes me
"Can I keep this midnight from getting free?" She walks straight into her room
"If I can stay with the light
I know I'll be free" The moonlight from the moon she brings everynight shines on her.
"And I can start to behold
I can start to be me" She sits down on a chair and touches her wedding ring, smiling at the mermories it brings.
"But instead I am struggling with all that I see" She is brought back to reality by a jerk in her mental defenses.
"And these friends, mustn't see the midnight in me" She becomes aware of the Dark aruara behind her.
"The midnight in me!" She grips onto the ledge of a window.
"They mustn't see the midnight in me" A servent knocks on her down and ibforns her of a meeting. She walks away, almost deafeted.
