"i'm following up about your rent. do you have a check for me?" fiona asked.
"go get her, rusty." we heard mrs. cardinal say then she started fake growling like a dog.
"is she growling?" i asked fiona as she nodded.
"the pretend dog isn't gonna work for long, mrs. cardinal. i need that by tomorrow." fiona said then we went to another door.
i heard a door open and i saw someone running down the hall and fiona and i ran after her.
"hey!" i shouted.
she jumped off the stairs and she kept running away.
"bitch you trying to ditch me?" fiona shouted.
we went to another door and saw a check was on a door attached with some heroin needles.
"isn't that lovely." i said.
"seriously?" fiona said.
"well, at least they paid." i said.
"yeah, hopefully i won't get hep c cashing in this check." fiona joked making me laugh while i knocked on another door.
"mr. donaldson? mr. donaldson?" fiona said knocking again since she heard the tv was on.
i went back to my apartment afterwards and i got a call from veronica and she told me that kevin's surgery went well and he doesn't have cancer.

i got a text message from someone that i didn't expect to hear from, it was nick. he wanted to meet up and i asked if it was a date, he said yes.
i got myself all dolled up and i stood outside my apartment building and i waited for nick to come pick me up. an hour went by and he still didn't show.
i took out my phone and dialed his number but he didn't answer so, i left him a voicemail.
"nick, what the fuck? i've been waiting out here for an hour freezing my ass off while waiting for you to come get me and you just stand me up? yeah, have a nice life jackass." i said hanging up the phone.
