Bandana's POV
"Kya hua? Udaas lag rhi ho" Manjot said with his eyes on the road, he was driving me home."Kal Maa tumhare bareme pooch rhi thi" I said in a low voice, "kya pooch rhi thi?" He asked. "Yehi ke aage ka kya plan hai" I said.
"Senior team me khel to raha hu...aur kya plan chahiye?" He asked. "Woh plan nhi, ham dono ka plan" I said, "unhone kaha ke ab sabko pata hai ham dono roz roz milte hai. Log baate banana shuru kar denge..." I said.
He stopped the car, "tum kabse in baato ki fikar karne lagi?" He asked turning his face towards me. "Me nhi kar rhi, Maa ne kaha. Aur unki baat theek bhi hai. Ese kab takk chalta rahega? Aage ka kucch nhi sochna?" I asked.
"Mummy bol to rhi thi ke rishte ki baat karne jaenge sab..." He said, "to?" I asked, "tumhare parents pe aake baat atak geyi" He said looking away. "I know you don't like talking about them, par tum unki beti ho, tumhari shaadi ki baat hogi to unhe aana padega na?" He said.
"Maa Papa hai" I said, "Sameeksha ke Maa Papa" He cleared. I looked at him, "you can't deny that Bandana" He said, "problem kya hai itna to batao!" He said irritated.
"Papa ne mujhe ghar se bahar nikaal dia tha...6 years back" I finally said. "W...why?" He asked. "Woh chahte the me London me parhai karke, unke friend ke bete se shaadi karlu aur wahi settle ho jau" I said looking down, "par mere kucch aur plans the. Mujhe parhke vapas India aana tha aur yaha settle hona tha" I said.
His face softned after seeing tears in my eyes. "Mummy thoda support karti thi par Papa ke saamne kucch nhi kehti thi, chup rehti thi. Do saal me kabhi ek do baar phone kar leti thi" I said crying.
I missed my parents. I miss them everyday.
"Bandana...ham unse baat kar sakte hai" He said, I shook my head, "Papa nhi maanenge, aur naa mujhe manana hai. Meri galati nhi thi" I said. He nodded. "It's okay, ham raasta dhoondh lenge" He said.
"Abhi tumhe ghar chod deta hu" He said and started the engine again.
He was driving quietly when he held my hand. I looked at him, he winked, making me smile.
"Ese drive karoge?" I asked, he nodded. "Steering kese sambhaloge?" I asked, "ek haath se" He said, "gears kese change karoge?" I asked, "tumhare haath se" He replied. I smiled again.
He placed my hand on the gear knob and pushed it back, changing from third to fourth gear. Our hands stayed there and he kept changing gears when he needed.
That smile stayed on my lips till we reached home.
"Bye" I said softly, "suno" He stopped me, I looked at him. "Sab theek ho jaega" He said kissing my hand. Those words were enough to change my mood, I smiled and he finally left my hand.
*******
I opened the door of my room and found Abhay Banna lying on my bed, resting his head on Sameeksha's lap.
"Woh jagah meri hai vese" I said, "yeh Sameeksha ki side ka bed hai" He replied, "no. Jaha tumne sar rakha hai, me uski baat kar rhi hu" I said.
"Isse shaadi me karunga, to yeh poori ki poori meri ho jaegi. Tum neyi godh dhoondh lo" He said. "Sameeksha" I whined, "yeh godh sirf meri hai aur ab me thakk geyi hu, to tum utho" She said to Abhay Banna.
He stood up, a winning smile came on my face, "oh panga naa le mere naal, panga na le mere naal..." I said and walked towards the washroom.
"You...!!!" He said running towards me, but I sprinted towards the washroom and locked the door once I was in. "Kholo!!!" He said, I started laughing. I enjoy doing this to him so much.
