I turned around to see Jordan. She was looking at me and she had a soft expression on her face.

"I, uh, yeah, sure," I didn't know what to expect from her. Jordan was pretty unpredictable. She could be sweet and nice one moment but go on a complete rage the next. You had to be careful of what you said to her.

"I want to apologize. I shouldn't have snapped at you. You should be able to like anyone you want. I just don't want you hurt. Dinger can be an asshole and he breaks people's hearts. I don't want you to run into the wrong people who lie and hurt you without you noticing right away. People can be sneaky at this school, and since you're new, you're easy to trick," She sighed. I could tell from the sincerity of her voice that she meant every word that came out of her mouth.

I looked at her. Should I forgive her? She did yell at me, and she gave me something to think about, but that was when I was in love with Dinger. I wasn't too sure if I was anymore. Maybe me not liking Dinger anymore would finally end all the fights we've had.

"It's fine, I forgive you," I smiled.

"Thank God, I missed talking to you and Kaela. I guess I just needed some time to calm down, y'know? I was also pretty embarrassed about the huge rant I gave to you. I felt pretty bad afterwards," She looked down and bit her lip. We started walking towards the gym.

"It's alright, you made a pretty valid argument," I laughed a little and she cracked a small smile.

"Hey, wanna join my team for baseball today?" Jordan asked me. As much as I wanted to join her team, I already had a team.

"I'm already on a team with Rio and her friends, but thanks for the offer," I told her politely. She nodded.

"Alright, your choice. Wanna come over today after school? To catch up?" She asked.

"Yeah, sure, that's sounds fun, I'm not doing anything anyway,"

"Don't you tutor Dinger everyday after school?"

I shrugged. "No, he's been a no-show for the past couple weeks."

"Typical Dinger," she laughed weakly.

----------

"Ready to go?" Jordan asked as I got into her car.

"Yes!" I exclaimed. I had to admit, I was excited. I missed my best friend, despite the fight we were in. I missed her company, she was fun to be around. We were completely different in personality, but she always tried to get me out of my comfort zone and do something that I wouldn't normally do.

She started driving and I looked out the window. I spotted Dinger's friends, but Dinger wasn't there. He probably skipped last class, it was almost summer so he most likely didn't care about school anymore. To be honest, a lot of the grads were getting a little bit lazy when it came to schoolwork at this time.

It was so close to graduation that they didn't really care anymore, they just wanted the days to go by quicker so they could finally get out of this hell hole and frankly, I was one of those people. I still did my homework, but I didn't even bother to check it over and make sure I did anything right. The teachers even began to get lazy, they didn't collect the homework to read, they just walked by and checked. You could write your entire life story on your chemistry lab and the teacher would check you off that you did your homework.

"So, Mason Taylor's party is coming up," Jordan started to make conversation to try to break the awkward silence, "You still planning to go?"

"Ehh, I don't know. I'm still a bit unsure about parties. Like I said, I've never been to one before. I'm not sure of what to do at a party," I laughed a little. Jordan did too.
