// Annie's POV //

It had been a month since I spoke to Dinger. He never stopped by, and I never saw him in town. Usually he would out with Bobby, but they haven't been hanging out much.

I would've ran after him that one day, but he had just figured out that Seana wasn't his daughter, and that was pretty rough. I wouldn't have known what to say to him. I'm still speechless about the situation.

I finally got the guts to visit Dinger. The only problem was, I didn't know where he lived. I had never been to his house. I'd have to call Rio.

I picked up the phone, dialling Rio's number. It had been forever since I talked to Rio. Much longer than it was since I talked to Dinger. The phone rang a couple times before a voice spoke through on the other line.

"Hello?" The voice answered.

"Hey, Rio. It's Anne-Marie," I replied back.

"Oh, hey." She said rather blandly.

"How've you been?" I asked her. She didn't sound too good.

"I've been okay, I suppose. I haven't heard from you in a while. How've you been?" She didn't sound like herself at all, but I never asked why. I'd soon regret that.

"I just found out Seana's not Dinger's baby. Jordan and Joel had an affair behind Dinger's back." I filled her in.

"No way. Get out. Are you serious?"

"Yeah, it was insane. I haven't heard from him at all. I was wondering if you knew where he lived? Just so I could go... You know, see how he's doing."

"Oh yeah. Uh. It's by the hospital. You know where the hospital is. It's on the street closest to the hospital. It's the only blue house on the street." Rio directed me.

"Thanks, Rio. Hey, we should get together soon, before I go off to college. I miss you. Remember when Kaela, you and I would always hang out at school?"

I heard Rio's soft laughter, "Yeah. The Three Musketeers."

"More like the Three Stooges," I joked.

We both laughed, but Rio still didn't seem like herself.

"Alright, well, I'll see you soon," I concluded.

There was a long, sort of eerie silence before Rio finally answered. "Yeah. Soon."

We said our goodbyes, then hung up the phone. I grabbed my bag and walked out the door of the house, on my way to see Dinger.

After everything happened, I came back home. My mom is letting me live here until I go off to college in a few days. I live in the basement suite now. We don't see each other a lot, and maybe that's a good thing.

Everything was already packed for college. I was excited. I'm hoping to become a psychiatric nurse. It's just crazy how only two months ago, I was in high school doing my SAT's, and now I'm going to college.

The weather was getting cooler now. There was a brisk, cool wind as I walked on the sidewalk towards Dinger's house. I zipped up my sweater and stuck my hands in my pockets.

I was nervous to see Dinger. After everything that had happened, who knows what he was like now. No one seemed to have heard from him.

I turned down the road to his street and looked for a blue house. It was at the end of the street. It looked horrible. The paint was peeling and the window shutters were falling off. There were some boarded up windows and the steps up to the door looked like they were going to collapse right under your feet once you stepped on them.
