Chapter 10

Laceys' pov

It's now Friday and the week has flown by. I rush to my locker and grab my Chemistry book before heading to a double period of Chemistry with Harry. UGH! On the one hand I can't wait but then again I really don't know if I can survive two periods with Harry, my feelings are growing and it isn't good. He is a player and will just use me and I don't want a guy like that, I want a guy that will send me a cute message to wake up to in the morning and call me just to make sure I had a good day.

As I walk into Chemistry class I spot Harry sitting in his normal seat looking at something on his phone. As I approach him he looks up from his phone and as soon as he sees me a huge smile spreads across his face causing one to spread across mine as well.

“Hey”I say.

“Hey Lace”Harry replies.

I take my seat next to him just as our professor enters the classroom and starts talking to us about combustion and formulas for different reactions. By the end of the lesson we have done an experiment and I’ve written two pages for my conclusion. As I go to pack up my things my teacher interrupts us.

“Oh and for homework I want you to work with your partners and create your own experiment and that shows combustion, you need to write at least three pages and it must be detailed about how you will carry out the experiment and how it shows combustion. You will be given a grade for this piece of work so I suggest you work hard on it if you want to get a good grade” my professor says before leaving the classroom.

I internally squeal because I get to spend more time with Harry but also groan because it won’t help my feelings towards him.

“So shall we do it today after school at my place?”Harry pipes up before I even get a chance to offer.

“Uh yeah sure”I say slightly taken aback.

“Ok well my last lesson is PE so meet me outside the gym after school”Harry says.

“Ok I have maths so I’ll come straight to the gym”I reply.

“See ya later babe”Harry says with the charming smile on his face before he leaves the classroom.

“Bye”I say.

Lunch comes round quicker than usual. I make my way to the canteen to meet Liv and Sam for lunch. I grab myself a small salad with a sprite before joining my friends at our normal table.

“Hey Lacey!”both Sam and Liv chirp together.

“Hey girls!”I reply just as happily.

“Soooo…….the Chemistry project….”Sam trails off.

“Yeah I actually kind of like the topic we are currently studying! Hopefully this homework will be a breeze” I say confidently.

“Yeah and you’ll be working with Mister Curly which is a plus!”Liv says winking at me.

I groan.

"I don't like him okay!" I say getting slightly frustrated with Liv, "I'll see you guys later I have to go see a teacher before period 5" I lie. Really I just want to get away from them because I'm slightly annoyed and I want to hang out with Harry.
