Chapter 6

Optimus woke up from his sleep and sighed as he got up and went to get energon to refuel and started working.
He and Ratchet were  the ones that are early as always. Soon his team were awake and did their usual routine, like scouting and picking up  the kids.

Arcee went to him to talk.
"Hey Optimus, you're looking quite grim, you alright? "She asks
"I'm quite fine Arcee, please resume your tasks... If you have. "He answered, mumbling the last part. The two-wheeler huffed a little and walked away as Optimus continued his research.

Ratchet noticed his distress and decided to ask him later at night while continuing to monitor for energon and Decepticon signals, or researching on things he needed to research.

Sentinel saw Starfire arrived from a scouting mission and went to  greet her
"Hey Star, how did the scouting go? "He asks
"It was quite fine, Sentinel, though no Decepticons or energon mines"Starfire said aloud with a sweet smile  that Ratchet heard it.

Optimus watched them silently from his monitor, and looked down while his spark hurts even more while watching his sparkmate talk to others but not him. An idea came to his mind and planned to uh do it at night so no one would know or see.

Starfire looked at Optimus and sighed as she went to work on datapads. Avoiding him as possible, also Arcee but the tiny blue femme would sometimes talk to her and she couldn't help but answer.

Soon, as the night came, and Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Arcee took the kids home, while the others prepare to go to their berthrooms since it's getting late. Optimus waited until everyone but him and Ratchet were the only ones left in the hangar.

"Ratchet, old friend... Will you do me a favor? "He suddenly spoke, breaking the silence
"And what would that be Optimus"the medic asks
"Will You.... Remove some of my memories.. Of Starfire? "He asks which caused the medic to be shocked.

"Why Optimus? "He asks
"Because I..... Can't stand what I'm feeling.... And it's distracting me... "The prime said and Ratchet sighed, knowing he must obey his leader.
"Alright, I'll start working on it. "He said and led him to the med bay.

As they arrived, Ratchet was working on removing the Prime's memories, leaving the only memory where Starfire joined team prime and made some changes into it. Soon the process was complete and Optimus wasn't the same, for he was back to being a prime who rarely show any emotion at all.
