Dear Jungkook (Jungkook x You)

Chapter 1

Y/N has always been in love with Jeon Jungkook for as long as she can remember. She met him when they were 8 years old, crying at the playground alone when his shoe got torn up. Seeing the crying boy, Y/N quickly run back to her cubby and fetch her extra pair of Converse and give it to him, trying to ease his crying. Jungkook, who was just a shy boy accepted the shoe and they become fast friends since then.

There's just something about Jungkook that attracts Y/N to him, even as an eight year old girl. They grow closer than ever, becoming best friends and Y/N cant help but to adore him more and more. About a year later, Y/N introduced Jae Eun to Jungkook. Jae Eun is her same age cousin who just moved in to live with Y/N's family. At the age of nine, Jae Eun's parents died in an accident, leaving Y/N's father to take care of his niece. Together with Jae Eun, Y/N's father also took in the driver's son who had also died in the car crash, leaving him as an orphan, Jae Min, six years older than the three of them. Y/N's father love Jae Min like he's the son that he had always wanted but never had. Y/N's father took both of them into the family with open arms and always reminds Y/N of the tragedy that had happened to her aunt and uncle, how they had lost their parents at such a young age and had to be taken care by someone else entirely, and that's why she should treat them with love and care.

Y/N, as the only child who has lost her mother during childbirth, is nothing but happy to have received a brother and sister to live with her. Even at a young age, Y/N understand and takes her father's words to heart, always doing her best to put Jae Eun first. She give in to Jae Eun on almost everything, her toys, her time, her clothes and even her room because Jae Eun like hers better. Jae Eun since then has learned that she could probably get anything she wanted from her cousin and uncle, making her grow up into a conceited spoiled girl.Of course, she was devastated when her parents passed away, but she knows she has to be strong. So when her extremely rich uncle took her in, she uses it to her advantage and try to live her life as normal as possible, or even better than before, in order to push the memory of her loss aside. Even better when her cousin, Y/N always seems to give in to anything she wants. Her toys, clothes, even her playroom. However, Jae Eun and Y/N were the best of friends, always having each other's back despite their stark differences.

The moment Y/N introduced Jae Eun to Jungkook, he was star struck by her beauty. She is the most beautiful person that Jungkook has ever met. Yes, Y/N is beautiful, but Jae Eun just seems dazzling in his eyes. Being a young immature boy that he is, he tries his best to get her attention, although most of the time Jae Eun will only play with the richer kids and used Jungkook to get her things or to get things done for her, which of course, Jungkook will do so willingly. With his determination to make Jae Eun his, he constantly forget about Y/N who is always on the sideline. Y/N, his best friends who would do anything for him, waiting for him, who will be there for him when he needed someone. Y/N, who fell more and more in love with him as time pass by. However, Jungkook, blinded by what he thought is love, has only eyes for Jae Eun although all she ever did is treat him like her personal assistant with her conceited and spoiled ways. Jungkook would cancel his plans with Y/N whenever Jae Eun is bored and need someone to eat ice cream with her, ditch Y/N for school projects if Jae Eun wanted him to be her partner and even hung up on her when Jae Eun texts.

Y/N, being the gullible and the nice girl she is, never said a word about it although her heart breaks whenever Jungkook would ditch her for Jae Eun. She knows for sure that Jungkook has feelings for Jae Eun and she can only watch from afar whenever Jungkook ignored her and run to Jae Eun instead. However, all three of them are still considered best friends, and that is all Y/N will ever be to Jungkook; a best friend. However, Jae Eun, totally oblivious about Y/N's feelings, always include her in any activity that Jungkook had wanted to do with her. And Jungkook, also oblivious to Y/N's feelings always hinted at her to leave him alone with Jae Eun when they were out together.
