Chapter 3

"Y...Y/N?"

Jimin and Taehyung turn to look at Jungkook who has his mouth opened. "Wait, that's Y/N? The one you said was your best friend before they moved and now you are mad at because you said she didnt keep in touch with you and want to cut her out from your life?" Jimin questioned, words coming out like bullets from his mouth. Jungkook just nodded his head, still looking at Y/N. "Oh wow, she is beautiful! How is a coconut head like you managed to be friends with someone who looks like her?"

"Oh well, then I will be glad to take Jungkook's place as her new best friend," Taehyung winks and starts to move in her direction. Jungkook, extremely irritated at Taehyung's flirty attitude, quickly grab his arms, stopping him.

"Dont hyung!" Taehyung raised an eyebrow at the maknae's sudden outburst.

"I...I mean, let me at least talk to her first or something. She is my bestfriend," Jungkook let go of Taehyung's arms. "It will be weird if you suddenly introduced yourself as my friend when I myself havent even said hello to her yet. We havent seen each other for seven years!" Jungkook quickly reasoned. He quietly congratulate himself for being able to come up with such a good excuse at such a short time. There's nothing wrong with Taehyung trying to introduce himself to Y/N. The party is afterall for the guests to mingle and welcome the girls back home. However, the thought of his extremely flirtatious hyung winking and making corny jokes, maybe getting a laugh or two from Y/N just sickens Jungkook to the core. He doesnt understand why, he just dont like it.

"Oh now you want to talk to her," Taehyung give Jungkook a skeptical look. Jimin's smile widen at the what's happening in front of him, his mind already making sense about what might actually be going on. He elbowed his friend, signaling him to just let Jungkook do what he wants. "Fine, whatever," Taehyung shrugged and Jungkook just nodded to his hyungs and made his way to find Jae Eun and Y/N. He himself is confused about what's going on with his feelings. He loves Jae Eun didnt he? Then why must his heart race and flutter when he sees Y/N? It must be because they havent talk to each other for so long. Yes that must be it. Y/N has been his bestfriend for such a long time, of course he will feel something when he saw her again after seven long years. Right?

Jungkook found Jae Eun and Y/N at the corner of the party. Y/N is conversing with a tall, handsome man that is impeccably dressed which make him grit his teeth in annoyance while Jae Eun is standing there looking bored. The man somewhat looked familiar, like Y/N might have introduced him before, but he is not able to put a name on him. That doesnt bother Jungkook as he focus fully on Y/N and the man, not even bothering to say hello to Jae Eun first, the supposed love of his life. Eyes trained on the two who is happily conversing as he slowly walked towards them.

"I miss you Jae Min oppa! Why arent you here when I arrived two days ago? You promised to pick me up from the airport!" Y/N pouts which make the guy, who is apparently named Jae Min, laughs and hugs her. Jungkook's eyes widen at the scene. Seriously? Oppa? Who is this guy? Why is he hugging Y/N so casually? How come Y/N keep in contact with the guy and not him? Aren't I supposed to be the most important man in Y/N's life? So many thoughts flooded Jungkook's mind. Thoughts that's only making him more angry and frustrated.

"Sorry baby. Oppa is busy that day. But oppa will take you out tomorrow okay?" Y/N squeal happily and gave Jae Min a tight hug to Jungkook's displeasure. Seriously, he calls her baby? Who the hell is this guy? Without realising, he already clenched his fingers into a fist to the sight and was about to turn away, completely forgetting the reason he's there in the first place. He is consumed anger and rage that even he himself is not sure the reason for.

"Jungkook?" he turned around and see Jae Eun smiling widely at him. She's beautiful. Gorgeous, in fact. But his heart doesnt react to her smile the way it did to Y/N's. And Y/N's smile isnt even directed to him! Give it time. You have loved Jae Eun for years, remember? Your heart will recognized her. Jungkook convinced himself. Jungkook forced a smile and flash it at Jae Eun. "Is it really you? Why didnt you say anything?"
