I arrive to class early, as always. I sit at my desk and begin to pull my belongings out of my bag when a quirky brunette with dimples walks in,

"Uhm, hey.." he says. Is he talking to me? I look around the room. Of course he's talking to me, there's nobody else in here. I look back to him and he has an eyebrow raised at me.

"Oh, uhm... hi" I manage to say. I try to hide my face so he doesn't notice the red in my cheeks.

"Is the teacher in here?" he asks me. Thank god. Or maybe he's just being polite and ignoring my tomato face.

"Oh, no," I tell him. "She should be here any minute." he nods and puts his hands in his pockets. He lets out a big sigh before saying,

"Okay. Well my name is Ashton by the way. I'm new." I smile at him and tell him my name as well,

"Hi, Ashton. My name is Estefania." he opens his mouth to speak again but then the teacher walks in,

"Oh, hello!" she says while adjusting her skirt, "You must be Ashton!"

"Yeah..." he says. Maybe he's just as nervous as I am?

"Your assigned seat will be there, next to Estefania." she points at the seat next to me. Oh, dear Lord, why?

"Okay, thanks" he tells her as he takes his seat beside me. With that the bell rings. I pay no attention to the kids flooding the classroom.

"Who are they?" Ashton asks. I turn around in my seat to see who he's referring to.

"Oh, those are the school bullies. Michael, Luke, and Calum." I tell him. Ashton and I both turn back to the board in our seats before he asks,

"Do they ever bully you?" I feel my face turn red again.

"Oh... uhm.. well" I begin.

"Good morning, students" thank god the teacher interrupted me. I didn't want to have to admit that they bully me on a regular basis. My next three classes go by pretty quick.

I sit alone at lunch, like I do everyday. I don't mind though, it's peaceful.

"Can I sit here?" a voice says. I look up from my sandwich and see Ashton.

"Sure," I tell him, and he does. I continue eating and we go on with small pointless banter.

"Look," he says. I follow his long finger to where he's pointing, "here come the school bullies" all the blood drains from my face and I begin to panic.
