I shouldn't have left my guard down..And now I must pay the price for that. I watch my car get burned down as Viktor carries my broken my body to somewhere safe.

We had just gotten into the car, ready to leave. Viktor in the driver seat and me in the passenger next to him. He told me some stories he heard as a kid and I did as well. We told each other how we were when we were kids. Viktor sounded like an angel. From what he said, anyway. He said that many enjoyed his company, how adults and parents adored him, how most of the girls wanted to date him. But, he said he didn't care of those things, he just wanted to be loved by what he will be become and not of what he says or does. I can understand that, but at such a young age; he thought that way?

As if he could read my mind, he answered that his parents taught him many things they learned and how they wanted to prepare him for the corrupted world. I'm amazed because in such a short amount of time, we both opened up to each other. Maybe it's because we both longed for someone to understand us and help us move on from the past, but nonetheless, I'm glad Viktor is with me.

We played games, sang songs, talked about each other and our weapons. It was amazing, just perfect. I stared out the window towards the shining sun. It's been too long since the I've seen the clear skies. Still on the highway, looking for our exist, I whispered "Do smerti ya rasstayus' s zhizn'yu". That was it, my last words before I sensed another car.
