~Luke's POV~
After Sam walked out we all remained pretty silent. I don't think any of us realized what we had been doing and now we all felt bad for upsetting her. Thinking back on it, it was pretty rude of us to talk about her like she wasn't even there.
"We are so sorry. We didn't mean to make her feel like that." My dad said to Pam and Danny. Danny nodded.
"No, don't be sorry. We did it too. Sometimes she can handle it, but I guess we got a little carried away. I'll go get her." I stood up.
"No. I'll do it. If you don't mind." Danny nodded.
"You sure you want to do that Luke? She might bite your head off." I turned and glared at Carter. He may be my best friend, but sometimes he is a real asshole. I reached my arm out and slapped him on the back of the head and headed out to find Sam. I walked out onto the porch and looked to see that her truck was still in the driveway so she couldn't have gotten too far. Now it was just a matter of figuring out what way she went. I stood silently for a second to see if I could hear anything when I heard a faint voice. I walked off the porch and out back where it sounded like it was coming from. As I walked farther the voice got slightly louder and it sounded like it was singing. I walked a little bit farther and soon found myself at the small lake just into the woods. I looked around and saw that Sam was sitting on the big rock with her feet in the water and it definatley was her singing, and let me tell you, it was amazing.
Mama, you taught me to do the right things.
So, now you have to let your baby fly.
You've given me everything that I will need.
To make it through this crazy thing called life.
And I know you watched me grow up,
and only want what's best for me.
And I think I found the answer to your prayers.
And he Is good, so good.
He treats your little girl,
like a real man should.
He is good, SO good.
He makes promises he keeps.
No, he's never gonna leave.
So, don't you worry about me.
Don't you worry about me.
Mama, there's no way you'll ever lose me.
Giving me away is not goodbye.
As you watch me walk down to my future,
I hope tears of joy are in your eyes.
Cause, he is good, so good.
And, he treats your little girl,
like a real man should.
He is good, SO good.
He makes promises he keeps.
No, he's never gonna leave.
So, don't you worry about me.
Don't you worry about me.
And when I watch my baby grow up,
I'll only want what's best for her.
And I hope she'll find,
the answer to my prayers.
