[Author's Note: Hey y'all, I'm backk! So there is going to be a bit of a time jump in this next chapter since I'm not really sure how I want to continue so I'm just going to jump to where Luke is already working his way up in the music industry. This chapter will probably mostly be about what Sam and Luke have been up to since that day Sam kicked Luke out of her house and what they're doing now. I know these next couple of chapters of kind of going to suck since I have to get back into the swing of things, but please bear with me! Hope y'all enjoy!]

~Luke's POV (1 Year Later)~

I stepped off of my tour bus and smiled at the thought of being home again. I hadn't been in Leesburg for about two months and I missed it like crazy. I've been thinking about buying a small ranch out here and just having an apartment or somehting in Nashville for when I have to be there. I was pulled from my thoughts when I saw my mama come running out of the house towards me. I smiled as I opened my arms to her and engullfed her in a big bear hug for the first time in over a month.

"Hey mama." My mom squeezed me for a bit longer before she finally let me go, but the look on her face isn't one I expected.

"Thomas Luther Bryan I have a bone to pick with you!" My eyes widened in surprise at the tone of voice that my mama was using with me.

"What did I do this time?" I chuckled hoping to lighten the mood, but my mama's face remained serious as she pointed towards the house signaling for me to get my rear end inside now. I walked inside and sat at the table across from my mother.

"So, what's up mama?" She continued to glare at me.

"I was speaking to Pam and Danny Greenwood the other day." Oh no. She's gonna tan my hide. I was beginning to worry about what they had told her, I wasn't exactly honest with my mama when I told her that Sam had moved back to Macon. I told her that Sam and I still talked every day, which yes was a lie. I actually hadn't spoken to Sam since the day that she kicked me out of her room. I tried to call her after I got home, but she didn't answer, and before I was there for work the next day, she was already gone. Not many people around here have heard from her since.

"Uh, that's nice. What did they have to say?" I bounced my leg under the table out of habit when I'm nervous.

"Pam told me that they asked Sam about you the other day, and when they did she said that she hasn't spoken to you since the day before she left for Macon." I forced a smile to try and hide my guilt.

"She said that? She uh, must have misunderstood the question." Her glare quickly became more intense than ever making me look down at my hands that were resting in my lap.

"Thomas Luther Bryan. How dare you sit here and lie to my face. I thought I raised you better than that." I sighed in defeat.

"I'm sorry mama, it's just that Sam and I kind of got into an argument the day before she left and I kind of yelled at her and she kicked me out and by the time I got to work the next day to apologize, she was already gone." My mother's face fell as I told her what had happened between Sam and I.

"Well, why in the world did you yell at her?" I sighed knowing that I was about to get lectured on how wrong I was for yelling at Sam.

"Well, she asked me what I thought about her moving back to Macon and I didn't want to stand in her way, but I really didn't want her to go either. So I figured it'd be best for me to just try and be angry with her instead of admiting that I lo-" Before I could finish my sentence I stopped and felt all of the color drain from my face. That was the moment that I realized why I didn't want Sam to go and why she has been the only thing that I've thought about all day every day for the past year...

~Sam's POV~

"Hello?"

"Hey baby girl, what are you up to?" I wiped my eyes free of crust and reached over to my bedside table searching blindly for my glasses, knocking off almost everything else in the process. Man, I really need to clean this thing off. I looked over at the clock and saw the time, throwing my head back onto the pillow as the realization that it was only six in the morning hit me.

"Mama, it's six in the morning. What do you think I was doing?" I sighed realizing that I sounded a little bitchy.

"I'm sorry mama. I didn't mean to snap." My mom chuckled a little on the other end of the line.

"It's okay sweetie, I know how you are in the morning. It's my fault. Anyways, what are your plans this week?" I sighed a little thinking about my eventful week full of nothingness yet again.

"I don't know. I don't think I have anything too exciting planned. Just going to the gym and probably cleaning and organizing my apartment. Why?" Yes, since I moved back to Macon I got really into boxing and yoga.

"Well, don't make any plans." I raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"And why not if I may ask?" My mom chuckled.

"You're coming to Leesburg today." I shot straight up at hearing this.

"I am?" My mama laughed again.

"You are. Sweetie you haven't been home in almost 3 months. We all miss you like crazy. I know you've been busy with work, but please just for a few days." I sighed. It's true, I hadn't been home in awhile and I was really starting to miss my family. But, I had been hearing a lot of rumors that at some point in the next few weeks Luke would be coming home. Yes, Luke Bryan. Famous country singer and ex best friend of this girl right here. I hadn't spoken to Luke since the day that I kicked him out of my house over a year aqgo back in Leesburg. I've seen him on TV tons of times and heard his music on the radio a lot too. Almost all of my friends are in love with the ass. Of course none of them know about my past with him, except for Ally. But, she at least pretends not to have a crush on him for me.

"You're right mama. I haven't been home in awhile. But I will only come on one condition."

"And that is?"

"I need you to call LeClaire and make sure that Luke is not going to be home this week." My mom sighed.

"Honey, it's been over a year. Can't y'all move on from that?" I sighed.

"Mama, please. That's all I ask." My mom sighed heavily.

"Alright fine. But, I've already spoken to her and she told me that Luke isn't due home until next Tuesday. So will you please come?" I chuckled.

"Yes mama. I will go pack my stuff right now and I will text you before I leave."

"Thank you sweetie. I love you! See you soon!" Before I could even respond she had hung up the phone. I chuckled at my moms excitement and went to my room to pack my bag.
