Jamies POV:
The night was calm and beautiful, you can see the stars from the sky above, sparkling around us. My brother, James, on the other hand, is currently driving us to Colorado, which is good anyways.
It's currently 11:00 PM and we're still on the highway. I let out a deep sigh, resting my chin against the seatbelt.
James adjusted his seat and then rolled the window, resting his left arm on the door. He glanced at me a bit.
"Bored?" He looked at me with a concerned face.
"Yup, totally. It's been hours since we've found salvation." I look at him with a bored look.
He pushed the button on top of him, letting a compartment drop with a cassette tape in it. He grabbed the tape and inserted it inside the radio.
The radio started playing some old tunes, one of them were my favorites like Paramore, Green Day and my favorite of all time, Avril Lavigne.
I started tapping my right foot, feeling the beat consume me.
"Cool cassette tape bro, where did you find that?" I ask him.
He shrugged. "Just found it on the glovebox."
As we continue to drive our way to Colorado, he let out a sigh once again.
"What's up?" I asked I could tell he was thinking about something.
"Nothing, according to the signs that were closing in on Colorado. I'm just happy that we left Chicago." He quickly smiles at me, then looks back at the road.
"Same here big bro, same here..." I giggled
As we drove through the night. I snug tight on the seatbelt, trying to sleep.
James went close to my face then kissed me on the forehead.
"Good night sis." He smiles then looks at the road.
"Night bro." I yawned then relaxed, I closed my eyes then fell asleep.

Next Day...
I was still sleeping on the seat, so peaceful and quiet... Until bro woke me up.
"Yo sis, wake up. Were here." He shakes me while driving.
I groaned and rubbed one of my eyes
"Alright, Alright...just keep your eyes on the road," I said still half asleep.
I adjusted the seat and then exactly I got up when I saw what was up ahead.
There's the sign saying. "Welcome to Colorado."
I know that this day will be the best day of our lives...
"Ready for a new life bro?" I ask him with a grin.
"Hell yeah sis!" James shouted in excitement.
