Chapter Thirty-Four

Chyna Korea Santiago Jones

I woke up this morning from the biggest hangover ever and didn't feel like getting up. But I had too because I had to drive down to Nina and start planning her wedding. For some reason, she wanted to start planning the wedding right away. I got ready and headed off campus and into my car. I drove down to the house and couldn't believe that 6 months had passed by already. I couldn't wait to see Nina, Omar, and my beautiful niece. I arrived at the house sooner than I expected. I got out of the car and walked up to the door and knocked on it. Omar answered the phone, but he wasn't excited to see me. I had a worried look on my face. Omar didn't say anything else and left the door wide open. I went into the kitchen and found Nina sitting across from some couple. I was confused on what was going on at the moment. I sat in the seat next to Nina and consoled her. I looked up at the couple and they seemed pretty nervous and anxious on what they were going to say.

"So what's going on?" I asked starting the conversation.

"Um, this is Jade and West." Nina said.

"Ok and why are they here?" I questioned.

"We're here because we want to be involved in your lives." Jade said.

"I'm sorry I'm not understanding." I said.

"For god sakes, Chyna these are our fucking parents!" Nina shouted. 

"What?'' I questioned.

"Yes Chyna we're your parents and we want to be in your lives." West said.

"Are you fucking kidding me right now? After 16 years of not being there for us now all of a sudden you want to be in our lives. That's total bullshit. I'm sorry Nina, but they aren't being in my life and they certainly aren't invited to the wedding." I said walking out of the house and going into my car.

I slammed my car door shut and began to cry. I had no idea that my parents would want to come back after so many years. Just seeing them in general made me go back to when I was about 5 years old and when Nina was only 9.

Flashback (16 Years Ago)

Nina and I were in my room watching tv. We were watching some cartoon on tv and it was nice to spend time with Nina. Lately, we've been spreading in our rooms and it was nice. Suddenly, the rain came pouring down and mom and dad were shouting again. I didn't know what they were saying and then doors were slammed. I went to go figure out what happened and no one was home. The door was wide open and the rain was pouring down. I went outside and saw them get into the car and drive off down the long wet road. 

I screamed for them to come back, but it was no use. They weren't coming back. Nina came and gave me a hug and cried along with me. We cried for many days and nights. Nina did her best to try and get me to calm down and be strong, but it was no use. I was too sad and depressed about our parents. Days after them leaving, a man came to the door and took us away to some other family. I stayed here until I turned 12 and left. Life wasn't good until I was reunited with Nina.

And now after so many years, our parents would come back and say they want to be in our lives. No fucking way Jose! This was so fucked up and I'm not accepting them back into our lives so quickly.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the window. I jumped a little and saw that it was Nina. I unlocked the passenger's seat window and Nina got in the car. I wiped my tears and act cool and angry at the same time.

"I know, you hate them." Nina said.

"Hate them? No Nina, I fucking despise them. I mean I can't believe that you wanted me to meet them and want to get to know them." I said.

"I thought that if my wedding was going to be perfect, then I would want my father to give me away. I had to find them Chyna and I know how disappointed you are right now, but just give them a chance." Nina said.

"It's whatever." I said starting my car.

''Thanks." Nina said.

"Yea well I'm only doing it for you. I'll see you tomorrow." I said.

Nina smiled and sideway hugged me. She got out of the car and I drove off. I was super pissed that Nina was making me do this. But it was for her and I hate obey because she was my older sister and our bond is greater than ever.

Nina Promise Santiago Jones

I went back into the house and chatted it up with Jade and West. I've always imagined what our parents would look like after so many years. But they look exactly the same except more older and perhaps younger looking in a way. It was weird to say, but it was the total truth. I couldn't help but smiled because it was good to see them even though it was completely late. But Chyna might actually need some parenting after the way she's acting.

I went back to the campus and met up with Trey. He was waiting for me and I knew he was. I went back in my dorm and there was Ivan inside. I rolled my eyes in annoyance and stood there with my arms crossed.

"What the hell do you want Ivan?" I asked.

"We need to talk." Ivan said.

"What is there to talk about?" I said.

"Everything." Ivan said.

"Look, Ivan there is nothing you can say to me that could possibly want to change my mind about you. I know you're a major asshole and I can't be around you because I'm with Trey now." I said.

"You were the same person who always complained about him." Ivan said.

''Not anymore.'' I said walking passed him.

Ivan grabbed my arm and then yanked it away from him. He grabbed me again and pulled me in closer to him. "I know you want me." He said whispering into my ear. I was disgusted by his hot breath and tried so hard to pull away from him. But his grip was too strong and I didn't know what to do right now. I closed my eyes and then the next thing I knew I kicked him in the balls and ran out of the dorm. Could this day get any worst at the moment.

Sorry if this chapter seems a little off to you guys. But I wanted to get this chapter over with and make sure I start getting to the good stuff. Now the next chapter will make more sense. I hope it will.
