Chapter Thirty-Six

Hours Later......

Nina Promise Santiago Jones

I haven't seen Chyna today and she was supposed to come by and help me plan the wedding. I don't know what's going on with her, but she was surely going to explain to me. Jade and West had already went back to the hotel and I got into the car and drove off to Chyna's college. I was so mad at her right now because she wouldn't explain to me why she's not helping with this wedding that I'm really nervous about. I turned on my radio and relaxed as I continued to drive down to Chyna's college.

Chyna Korea Sanitago Jones

I fell asleep and I didn't remember what time. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and I quckly jumped up and went to go open it. There standing was Nina. I rolled my eyes in annoyance as I knew that something was wrong and that she wasn't happy at the moment.

"Nina what's wrong now?" I asked.

"What's wrong? The problem is that you didn't come and try to get along with our parents." Nina said.

"No! Not our parents, your parents. My parents died a long time ago when they abandoned me." I said.

"You didn't even give them a chance.'' Nina said.

"I don't have to give them anything because they aren't my family. You are." I said.

"Whatever. When you decide that you can get over your anger, then you can be apart of the wedding and finally be in the family again." Nina said.

"Wait, you're picking me over them? You can't be serious." I questioned.

"I'm sorry and I know how selfish it sounds, but I can't have you ruining this for me, when I'm trying to be the happiest bride right now." Nina said.

"Whatever.'' I said.

Nina didn't say another word and just left the dorm. I was so annoyed because now my life was going back to being destroyed. I sat on my bed angry and couldn't believe what was happening. I looked at the time and got ready  to go to class.

"You're gonna do what?" Stephanie questioned.

"I know it sounds bad, but I couldn't help myself." I said.

"Bad? This is good. Chyna is going to freak out when she finds out." Kate said.

"I don't want her to find out until after Nina's wedding. I want it to be in the moment." I said.

"I know she'll love it and it's such a great surprise." Stephanie said.

"Ok that's good." I said.

"What about Ivan? I mean does she know about the confrontation between you too?" Kate asked.

"Ok I'll talk to her and she can't really be mad because all I'm trying to do is protect her because she is my girlfriend and I don't want anything bad to happen to her." I said.

"Well tell her soon because she's going through a tough time especially with her parents back in town." Stephanie said.

"Her parents?" I questioned.

"Yep." Kate said.

I looked shocked as Kate and Stephanie told me more about what was going on with Chyna and her parents coming back.

I couldn't believe that Nina dumped me over our parents who abandoned them. But she was right in a way. I had to get this anger out one way or the other, so I left my dorm and campus and headed off to Marsh Cafe. I looke and found the person that I was looking for. I saw across from the,.

"I was surprised that you even called." West said.

"Yea well your number is still the same as you would tell me when you called all of my foster homes." I said.

"Yea." West said smiling. He took a quick glance at me and smiled. "Wow, you look so beautiful."

"Don't try to flatter me ok. Nina wants me to try and get to know you and Jade, so I can try and pretend that I have a normal family for once." I said.

"And what do you want?" West asked.

"I don't know. I want to know why. I want to know you and mom would just leave us and not come back. My life was hell when I checked into my first foster home. I've been in 10 foster homes by the time I was 12. I didn't get to meet Nina until I was 15. So why would you make our lives worst?" I asked.

"What you have to understand is that your mother and I were very young when we had both of you. She was 13 when she got pregnant with Nina and 17 when she got pregnat with you. We weren't ready to have kids, but we stood up anyways." West said.

''So why leave us and not come back?'' I asked.

"Believe me that's not what I want to do. That night I told Jade that we should tell our parents that we had children and let them take care of you guys until we were old and mature enough to care for children. But your mother was used to not having things, so she thought of you as some kind of objects then people." West explained.

"So you're saying that all that is mom's fault?" I asked.

"Not completely. It's my fault too, we ran away from you guys together and I take partial responsiblity for it." West said.

"You know I hated you guys so much for this shit. I don't even know why you would want to come back and suddenly be back in our lives." I said.

"Don't get me wrong we wanted to come back as soon as we left." West said.

"And why didn't you?" I asked.

"But that was 2 months later and we couldn't find you." West said.

"That's total bullshit." I said.

"Maybe it is and maybe it isn't, all I know is that I'm telling you the truth and the truth can sometimes hurt." West said.

I quickly got up from the table and went outside. I started to cry because what West was telling me was hurtful and somewhat caring. I guess I know the truth and what was going on and I couldn't believe it. Suddenly, I felt hands wrap around me and I knew it was West. I cried into his arms as he began to console me like a real father should. "I'm so sorry." West whispered and he kissed my forehead. 

Suddenly, my phone vibrated in my pocket. West let go of me and I checked it. It was a text from Kate and it surprised the hell out of me:

What do you think Chyna's going to do when she finds out that Trey and Ivan almost fought again? Especially with the type of brain Ivan has. Kate 3:30 pm

My mouth completely dropped when I read that. I bet it for Stephanie, but she send it to me. I guess Stephanie, Kate, and Trey are the bestest of friends now. I don't like them keep secrets of me. I told West that I had to leave and go back to my dorm. He understood and then I felt my blood in my body boiling because of how pissed off I was.
