"Right Time"

>>

[Name] worked at a little shop dedicated to selling cute items. Before her older sibling died, they wanted to start up a shop just like the one [Name] runs currently.

[Name] wanted to fulfill their dream, so she started up this business. Her parents disapproved, since she was bright enough to become someone of a better profession, but this was obviously more important to her. Her parents should've at least been the people who would understand, but that's not how it is with her family, apparently.

She shook those sad thoughts away. Like every other day before, she would greet her customers with a happy smile. "Yeah. A happy smile." She mutters to herself, forcing a smile onto her face before smiling in defeat.

It was no use. Too much sadness was overwhelming her and not a lot of people visit anyway. She wondered how long it would take for them to finally take all.. this.. away from her. It was inevitable.

Thoughts like those are always so persistent. She shakes her head and clasps her hands together, then slaps her cheeks for a bit. If no one would come yet, instead of drowning herself in her thoughts, she should clean and arrange. There were many things that she could arrange and also many things she could clean!

Still, who would notice that? Who would notice how hard she worked today? Would anyone even care?

The hand that was around the broom gripped tighter. She controlled her breathing. She would be fine. Those were only small thoughts. She shouldn't allow those things to get to her. She was strong!

Maybe she should install a little speaker system so she would have at least something else to think about. Maybe she should turn the shop into a mini café? That would be cute. Maybe when she'd get enough money, she would get an internet connection as well!

[Name] smiled to herself as she swept the floor of her small shop, thinking about all the things she could do to improve the place. She probably looked silly, but that doesn't matter. What really matters is that there are much more important things to think about in life than all of the negatives; like turning those negatives into positives!

She felt that today was going to be her day. Something great would happen, she knew it. She just felt it. Maybe something small? Something big? Ahh, she couldn't wait.

As she left the shop to place the trash into the trash bin which was right beside the entrance outside, so it wasn't that hard to do, she noticed some men sitting nearby on a bench. She noticed a lot of other things too, but what was special about these men was that they were eyeing her. No, she was not conceited. She noticed they were looking specifically at her because they waved at her when she looked. Yes, she made sure there was no one else behind her. How odd.

Maybe they were potential customers.

After she waved back at them with a bright smile, she headed back in. She entered the back room to place the broom and the dustpan to where she usually placed them. Before she could enter the main shop, she heard voices. She immediately went out to help them.

It was those men outside. So she was right, they were customers? She headed over to them, "What do you need?" She says happily. They were her first customers for the day and she was excited. "We'd like.. a piece of you!"

Not only was that terribly bad, that was also not okay to say. Is that what they came here for? Her expression immediately changed and she looked at them with eyes that told them she thought they were nothing but garbage. "Oh."

That look seemed to irritate them. "Hey, what's with you, looking at us like that?" One grabbed her wrist and she immediately pulled away, "I think it would be better if you left." She says, glaring fiercely at them. They laughed and one of them grabbed her wrist once again, this time gripping harder. "Was that a threat, miss?"

Oh no. She was definitely in trouble. "Ugh! Get your filthy hands off of me, you–"

Before she could let out the string of curses she prepared, a man came into her shop casually. His chest was slightly heaving, indicating he ran, but they wouldn't have to know that. "Did you see the amount of policemen over there? I wonder what they're all doing here!" The men looked at him then back at her, quickly letting go and heading out.

The man took a deep breath, bending over slightly, his hands on his knees. "My friends and I.. I noticed you in here with those strangers, but I was too afraid to come in, wondering if I just misunderstood something maybe. But once I got farther, I got really worried, so I had to run back here to check on you. It's a good thing I did! That looked scary." He explains quickly.

She noticed how good-looking he was.

While he was explaining, his eyes were bright and wide, and they were shining. His canines stood out when he smiled, but that just added to his appeal. His hair was also light-colored, strawberry blonde or just blonde? She wasn't sure. What she was sure of was that it was soft.

Honestly, he could be one of the items sold in the shop because he was so cute.

"Sorry! I'm Kenta! Takada Kenta!" He says cheerily, and now she remembered who he was. That cute face and that happy personality. He was that Takada Kenta. "Judging by your expression, that must mean you know who I am." She smiles apologetically, "Yes, I do. Sorry if I made a weird face, it's just.. you're much cuter face-to-face."

He laughs, an embarrassed expression on his face. "No, you compliment me too much." She shakes her head, "What are you talking about? Of course you're handsome. If you weren't, no one would want to hire you, you know." She says as a matter of fact, her hands on her hips as she scolded him slightly. She seemed to have disregarded the fact he was famous. That made him comfortable.

Before he could continue on with the conversation, the other members came running in. "Oy, Kenta! Don't go running off like that, you scared us!" A short guy wearing a black mask and a cap said, taking a deep breath as he pat his chest. The others were behind him as well.

"Sorry, guys! She was in trouble so I had to help!" He apologizes and them faces her, looking around quickly with a panicked expression. His face brightens and he takes a pen from out his pocket, taking her hand into his and writing his line id and his number just in case. "I-I'll see you!" He says quickly before pushing the surprised members out of the store along with himself.

[Name] blushed. Why would he entrust her with this? She could leak it or something. He really must've been worried? Maybe a formality?

But she couldn't think properly anymore, she was just so happy. She couldn't believe it. He really was as sweet as everyone said he was.

She was right. Something great did happen.
