"Mistake, the second."
Cliché Soulmate! Dance teacher! AU! Taehyunwarning: self-harm, suicide
>>
Taehyun and [Name] obviously hit it off well. He was amazing and she was glad that he was her second soulmate. He was so sweet with her, he took time out of his day to be with her, he accepted her, told her all the time about how much he liked her, and was apparently not curious about the crossed out name on her wrist.
No.. he was. He just didn't want to invade, or open up painful memories for her.
Or, in more honest words, give awful thoughts to himself. Selfish, huh?
They've been going out for almost a year and [Name] was always surprised with how Taehyun seemed to avoid the subject of her last soulmate. [Name] was thankful for it, obviously, not wanting to remember it at all. But.. they should talk about it one day, right? [Name] didn't know why she felt so impatient; why she wanted to tell him so badly. She just had this weird feeling that she had to. It was inevitable, right?
That subject would come up in Taehyun's mind a lot and he wished it didn't. He wondered if [Name] was truly happy with him. He wondered if [Name] still thought about him. He wondered how that man had hurt her. He wondered just how good a guy he was to [Name]. He wondered about [Name]'s life with him. He wondered if that guy was able to give so much more to [Name] than he could. He wondered if that man was perfect. Taehyun wasn't able to win over all her relatives, and he wondered if that guy did.
He never thought they'd speak about it so soon.
He couldn't imagine how that other man looked.
Well, now he wouldn't have to imagine.
Taehyun saved enough money to go to the city, where [Name] once lived. She was going to take him there soon, but he worked harder so that he'd beat her to it. He told himself he just wanted to see where [Name] was before, but he knew deep down he just wanted an excuse to speak about that certain thing, like if she sees things that would make her willingly speak about it without him asking.
He didn't know why he wasn't able to ask her directly, he knew communication was important in a relationship, especially if you're curious about your significant other's life, but.. he couldn't. He realized then that it was too late, that he should've been braver, that he should have manned up. He brought everything upon himself, and he still reminds himself to this very day.
Now, he'd have to hear about everything not from her mouth, but from that man's. And he'd have to face the consequences of having them meet once more.
Taehyun didn't think he'd be at that stupid restaurant. Taehyun saved so much money so he could take [Name] there, but that guy..
"[Name], you're back?" A man had approached the table, his smile handsome along with his features. He looked neat, and his suit looked expensive. Taehyun was embarrassed that he didn't make enough money to buy that good of a suit. By the look on [Name]'s face, Taehyun had a hunch of who that handsome man was.
What Taehyun said next surprised all three of them.
"Well, why don't you sit with us? We just got here anyway, so there would be no trouble ordering some food for you." [Name] briefly glanced at Taehyun with a worried and angry expression, before smiling awkwardly at the other man. He hesitantly took the seat, and cleared his throat. "I'm Son Seokwoo, it's nice to meet you.."
