Chapter 8: Drunken Confession...

Same day

Our Sansku (sorry, Swara's Sansku 😉) was still mad at Swara and her attempts to please him seemed futile. He was not just jealous but he had the feeling of trepidation too because he thought what if Swara doesn't feel the same way for him as he does for her. In no way was he going to have a one-sided love relationship with her. Her interaction with Arjun was just adding fuel to the fire. He could see that they had bonded well and he could do nothing but just stand beside both Swara and Arjun and listen to their not-so-useful talks.

Evening

All the youngsters who had arrived at the conference had gathered to know each other. And here Swara met her friend from her college, Lakshya Raizada, the sole heir of the Raizada Industries and a man God might have taken days to carve. He was breathtakingly handsome and suave. But to Sanskar, he looked like a devil in his not-yet-started love life. Lakshya and Swara were college friends who separated because Lakshya and his family moved to Canada for establishing their business. Even though both of them were in contact, meeting in person was something they missed. And now they were fully availing this opportunity to cherish their friendship. Not that she had forgotten Sanskar at that time, but he preferred to stay away from them because if he would have been with them, he would have already burnt out of jealousy.

Well, as for now all the youngsters had decided to play the epic game to escape boredom, Truth or Dare... But there was a slight change in the rules... Anyone who'll not be able to answer the question or complete the dare will have to consume a whole bottle of alcohol. They were seated in a circle in a way like Swara was in between Arjun and Lakshya and Sanskar was in front of Swara... And the bottle started spinning and it stopped on our Lakshya...

Arjun: So here we begin with Lakshya... So Mr, what are you gonna choose? Truth or Dare??

Lakshya: (funnily) Well, you guys are not that innocent that you will let me keep my deepest darkest secret within myself if I choose truth. And revealing those is the last thing I would like to do... So I'll go with a dare...

Arjun: Great!! Smart boy!! So your dare is to... umm...you have to propose any one of the girls over here for a date and if she agrees, then I'll accept that you are really charming... So what say?? Choose the girl or pick up an alcohol bottle... (raising his eyebrows)

Lakshya: Oh that's easy... I guess that I can do that... No one can win against my charms you know... So I will propose... umm... Swara... Yes, I  will propose Swara...

Arjun: Great so Swara come ahead...

Lakshya and Swara got up and stood in the centre. By the way, let us see Sanskar... He was burning with jealousy... Just the smoke was left to come out from his ears, otherwise, he had already become a living steam engine.
Now coming back to Swara and Lakshya...

Lakshya: (sitting on his knees) Miss Swara Bose, the epitome of beauty and the ruler of my mind and heart, will you accompany this charming boy on a date. I promise to make this one of the best dates of your life... So will you give that opportunity to me??

Swara: Mr Raizada, I must say that you are handsome... I am impressed... So, it's a yes from my side... I am coming on a date with you...

And Lakshya looked over his shoulder towards Arjun and raised his collar with an expression of 'I told you that I will complete the dare' and then he hugged Swara...

Arjun: Must say Lakshya that you have some charms otherwise who could earn a yes from someone like Swara Bose.

Swara: Aren't you guys buttering me a lot. I have got a lot of butter in the fridge back in my room and I don't need any... So please haan...
