Ashton's POV
"Oh, I'm gonna get you!" I shout, diving under the water she squealed. My hand wrapped around her ankle as she tried to swim away, pulling her back under.
She kicked her feet in attempt to push me away, but I was to strong for her small frame. I put my hand on her head, pushing her under water. Before she could come up I swam to the other end of the pool behind her, quietly coming up as she searches for me.
"Ashton?" she asks, looking around the pool. Her posture stiffened as she waited for me to come up from the water. "Okay this isn't funny!" she adds, her voice echoing around the pool. I slowly swam up behind her, careful not to make the water ruffle around her. Before I gave it a second thought I jumped up behind her.
"Scared!?" I screamed, and she jolted, turning around to swat at me.
"You little shit! That's not funny!" she shouted, continuing to hit me. I slipped my arms around her waist as she hit me, fighting away from my grip
"Calm down" I laughed, attempting to pull her close to me. watching as she glared at me.
"You're so rude" she laughed. She was too cute for words, even with her hair in a wet mess atop her head. I pulled her arms into one hand, decreasing the space between us. Our legs brushed together as the water pushed around us. I smiled as she looked at me, her green eyes watching my own. My eyes traveled across her face, and stopping at her lips for a brief moment before traveling back up to her eyes. She was so beautiful, I couldn't stop myself from what I was about to ask.
"Hey Riley?" I ask quietly, trying not to let my voice break.
"Yeah?" she asks, searching my eyes.
"That guy you were talking about earlier?"
"Mhm..." she gulps.
"Was that about me?" I ask, and she stops. I can see her eyes searching for an answer, she goes to speak but then stops herself. Was it me, was she at a loss for words cause she didn't expect it? Or is the afraid to tell me no? I gather up the courage to do something I've been wanting to do for so long. She goes to speak again, but I cut her off by my lips.
Her lips are pressed on mine and it feels better than I ever thought it would. The feeling running through me is so intoxicating, I don't want it to end. She doesn't move, she doesn't respond, but she also doesn't pull away. After a moment her lips move against mine, syncing with each other as I release her hands, letting them slip around my neck. Her legs wrap around me as I tighten my grip on her, pulling her as close as possible. She breaks her lips from mine in need of air, her head resting against my forehead. A smile glued on her face.
"Since when?" she asks, her eyes finding mine.
"Before that day on the bus. Probably the first week of tour" I giggle, my cheeks slightly heating up. I was never good with this whole feelings and stuff. She let out a sigh, her fingers playing with my hair.
"I never thought this would happen" she laughs, her nose rubbing against mine.
"I figured you wouldn't because of Michael, so I never said anything" I whisper, pecking her lips once. I couldn't resist.
"Me either" she whispered back, her lips brushing mine softly.
"Riley, he can't know" I say on her lips.
"I know" she says, turning away from me.
"Hey" I whisper, putting a hand under her chin to make her look at me. Her eyes are soft, almost sad even. My heart nearly shatters, she has no idea how bad I want this. "That doesn't mean we have to ignore this."
