Over the last couple days, my minds been racing. School and work were becoming overwhelming. I just wanted out or a lifetime break.

But quitting wasn't apart of my goals. It was either push harder or find a better route to succeed. I shut my journal and placed my pen on top. The sounds of birds chirping filled my ears, calming my thoughts.

I decided to take a day to myself, to gather and process everything that was going on around me. My phone was on silence, so my visit to my happy place wouldn't be interrupted. A girl just wanted a clear head for one day.

"It's peaceful here, isn't it?" A voice pulled me out my thoughts

I looked behind me, seeing Alex. A grin appears on his face as he make his way to sit beside me. I pulled my journal close to me, feeling his eyes rape my skin.

"What brings you here?" He ask

"I came to write" I shrug

"Can I read what you wrote?" He grins a little

"No" I laugh at his facial expression

"First you leave a nigga in his feels in English with that poem. Now I can't find out what happens next?" He pretends to be upset

"A girl can't leave y'all clueless?" I joke with him

"I mean you can, but that really made a lot of us curious" He shrugs

"I like to be mysterious with my writing" I gawk at my confidence for writing

"It ain't all that" Alex quickly shuts me down with his envy towards my writing skills

"See, this why I don't like you" I laugh "Always hating"

"Never" He kisses his teeth

I glanced at my Apple Watch, noticing the time and text from Bibby. I stood to my feet as confusion swept Alex face.

"It was nice talking to you, but I have to go" I say gathering my things

"It's cool, I'll see you Friday" He stands also, nudging me

I give him a nod and grab my blanket to fold it. Alex says his goodbyes and head towards the trail. I unlocked my car doors, placing my things on the floor of the passenger side.

Within twenty minutes I was pulling into Bibby driveway. I noticed a unfamiliar car parked besides his. This instantly rung questions through my mind. Just when I had kicked the suspicion of him hiding things, this happens.

Using my house key, I unlocked the door, and stepping in. A female voice projected from the kitchen along with Herb's laugh. Bibby merged into the foyer greeting me with a smile.

"I missed you babygirl" Bibby pulled me to him kissing my lips

"I missed you more" I coo at him
