24 . Of All People

It's been a couple of days since the dinner has passed and Nayeon was still recovering. Her ankle wasn't hurting as severely as before – she could walk, but she couldn't run. It didn't quite bother her though, since she never really runs.

Most days she spent most of her time sitting down with a usual bag of ice attached to her ankle. The first two days, she just stayed inside Tzuyu's guest room. Yes, she was still living with the Chou resident.

Nayeon was living a good life with the Chou's. It brought her back to when their maids also took care of her. Having breakfast in bed, staying inside the bedroom while binge watching television shows – it was just like her normal lifestyle.

Currently, she laid relaxed on the bed with a comfortable presence of fluffy pillows and a light blanket. There were even snacks to give her more beloved company.

Popcorns automatically went inside her mouth as she watched every single detail of the romantic movie. Suddenly, an intense atmosphere soon slowed down the popcorns, making her chew slower. Nayeon's heart also started to beat faster. She was predicting what was going to happen next. The two lead characters were about to kiss.

Her breath hitched and she forgot to blink. The kissing scenes were always slow, but Nayeon had to give it to the movie. It was pretty good at making the audience feel a variety amounts of emotions.
Unexpectedly, that thought lead to a familiar memory.

She tried to forget about it, but she just couldn't. A groan escaped from her mouth. The thought ruined the kissing scene for her. Nayeon sighed as she watched emptily and began to devour more food to deal with the memory.

She already told Tzuyu about it, which was truly a hard decision. That was only because the younger girl kept on pressuring her to, which left her no choice. No one can escape from Tzuyu.

It all started when the younger girl spoke continuously about Jeongyeon ever since after the dinner ended. She recalled about Nayeon's suspicious one-word responses.

"Yeah, but she's a famous CEO that every nerd is in love with." Nayeon emphasized.

The tall brunette furrowed her eyebrows. "Are you directing that 'nerd' statement with me?"

"I didn't mean it that way." Nayeon immediately corrected. With another heavy sigh, she continued, "The most bothering of them all is that she's a girl."

Tzuyu's face grimaced at the sentence, "Why does it matter that you kissed a girl?"

Silence filled the air upon the intriguing question.

"Uh," Nayeon paused. She looked elsewhere as she struggled to find a good answer. "I'm into guys, okay, and It caught me off guard." She hesitantly blurted out with a hint of fear about the truth in her sentence.
