I sat in my bed. Time to get ready for school. I thought back to my slight thought last night.
'I would do anything for him... but that's not unique to him.'
I sighed at the thought, but knew that it wasn't anything to stress over. A sharp ping sound came from my phone, and I picked it up to see a message from an unknown number.

I sat on my bed and once again recounted the events that just happened. Some questions were in my head, but it wasn't my place to ask them. I got dressed, grabbed my bag and headed out.

As I was walking, one of the questions kept coming back. It made me scramble through my memories, wondering whether I was merely forgetful or due for concern. I felt that if I said it out loud it might help me, for some reason.
"Did I even give Kim Taehyung my number-"
"Princess!" was shouted behind me, and I was lifted up into the air. I flailed my arms, but when I realised who it was I calmed down.
"Come on, smile for me princess." he requested, so I gave the most convincing smile I could and his box smile appeared also, and with that the strange feeling in my stomach returned. He put his hand in front of us, presumably signalling me to carry on walking. He walked behind me, when a gust of wind made my feet falter slightly. I tripped on one of my laces, and went on one knee to retie it. I heard a sound from behind me, and I looked up at him.

"What is it Kim Taehyung?" I asked, and he chuckled.
"1, call me Taehyung. 2, don't bend down on one knee, it's unladylike. Keep your knees straight and bend your back." I complied, and as I bent down the way he told me to, I accidentally touched his crotch with my butt. He groaned, and I stood up immediately.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that. You must've moved closer to me. I also didn't mean to hurt you." his head turned like a puppy's in confusion.
"You groaned in pain, didn't you?" his eyes went slightly wider for a second, but then went back to walking, so I followed suit.

We soon arrived at school, but as soon as I walked through the gates he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"What are you doing?" I asked, and he laughed as if I said something amazingly stupid.
"People need to know you're mine. You know you're mine, right?" he asked, and I answered with a simple "yes" before continuing into school. I felt the eyes of every girl on me, and my head slightly shrunk into my neck in fear. We finally reached class, and he let go of my waist before kissing me on the lips, a quick peck being what he wanted to display this time. The girls stared at us, and my cheeks went pink. He looked at his time table, and realised that he had a different class than me. He pouted, before saying one last thing.
"Meet me outside of the gates after school. I will wait."

Almost instantly after he left our sights, one of the girls slammed her hands on my desk.
"Are you manipulating him or something? Why would he date you?" she screamed, truly offended at my existence. I spoke back to her.
"I can't answer answer-less questions." she reeled back at my answer, as if there was a correct one. She then scoffed loudly, as to draw attention to the already drama filled situation.
"Just break up with Tae. It's safe for you and him. He'd be happier." she said carefree. She seemed pretty serious when she said it, so I didn't question it. Through class she expected me to be effected, but I worked well and hard as usual. At lunch, I pulled my friend Yumi aside and talked to her.

"Someone said I should break up with Taehyung. How do I do it?" I asked, hoping she would help me. Her mouth gaped open, and she laughed immensely.
"You need to get your "thing" sorted out. If you do everything people tell you to do, you could get in trouble." she spoke as if she knew nothing.
"If I do what people say, then surely they won't leave like mum and dad did. If I do as I'm told, no one will leave me and I can live my life in peace. Don't you want me to be happy?" I said, trying to not show the pain I felt when mentioning them.
"You do know that they... they died accidentally right? Like, they didn't just leave the house. They didn't just not come back. It was in the newspaper, haven't you seen it befo-"
"They are wrong. They said that a murderer stabbed them, but I know they did it to themselves. Who would want to have a child as disobedient as I was?"
"You didn't do shit though! You always mention that one thing you did, but you've never told me. Can't you tell me soon??" she said frantically, but seeing as my life wasn't hanging in the balance of telling her I decided against it. I stood still and looked at her eyes, not into them.

"Fine. But don't break up with him. Got it?" she said firmly, and I nodded. It was time to go to class, so back I went. As the class went through, the girls again stared at me, expecting me to follow through with their plan. They wouldn't let up with their eyes, and I felt relatively violated. The bell rang as repetitively as ever and I walked to the gates. Taehyung stood there smiling, just to add to the pain in my stomach.

"How's my princess?" He said brightly while ruffling my hair.
"We should break up," I started, had before he could say otherwise I continued with "but we also shouldn't. I've been told both. What do I do?" His smile had already faltered, but his eyebrows took a dark curve as he realised what I was saying. "Who said this to you?" He asked in panic while checking my arms for any signs of a fight.
"That girl with blonde hair in our class." His eyes flickered with delight, and my blood ran cold.
"Let's walk home, okay princess? I think we should stay together, so we will."

We walked to my house, and before I went inside I asked him the question from the morning. "Did I give you my number? I don't remember it" His happy attitude changed, and his smile disappeared.
"Of course you did. D-don't you remember?" He spoke with an unfamiliarly shaky voice, like I had uncovered a dark secret. I shook my head, and he looked around suspiciously.
"O-oh well. M-maybe your brain just... I don't know, merged it together! Yeah!" He laughed but forcedly. Then he grabbed my shoulders and leaned down to look into my eyes.
"You gave me your number, okay?"
"Okay."

Ah, that fateful word.
