Although John hadn't seen his friends all day in their shared classes, they were there at the front of the school, waiting for him after classes. He cautiously walked over towards his friends, biting his lip anxiously.

"Hey...guys." John nervously said.

"John, we want to apologize for how we excluded you today and how uncomfortable we made you feel." Rose said.

"Yeah, we really shouldn't have done that. We're sorry for being sucky friends." Jade said sweetly, approaching her brother and wrapping her arms around him gently.

"We probably should have told you what we're going to tell you sooner." Dave said.

"Wait, what do you mean?" John questioned, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. Rose sighed softly.

"Although we promise that we're not going to keep anymore secrets from you, John, this one will just have to wait until we get where we're going." Rose replied. Without saying anything else, she turned on her heel and started walking. Jade followed after Rose, leaving Dave and John to follow up behind.

"Where are we going?" John asked Dave. He couldn't stand the limited answers he got from the girls.

"First we're going to Rose's house so we can tell you everything that's been going on," The blonde said. "
"Afterward, Jade, Rose and I can be closer to where we need to go today." Dave finished up. John wasn't any less confused.

"Where are you guys going." He asked Dave.

"You'll know soon."

Soon enough, the kids were at Rose's house. Rose's house was built right on top of a river, water even flew out of the side of the house. The house was big and white and two stories tall. There's an ovservatory near the side if the house in a tower formation, and a laboratory. There's a mausoleum in the back for Rose's dead cat, Jaspers, and a forest surrounding her house. Inside, there are a lot of wizard statues and paintings, hung by Rose's mom, Roxanne, and there's also a prized bronze statue of a vacuum cleaner. Rose told everybody not to ask.

Rose's mom wasn't home, to which John himself was even thankful for. Rose's mom was also Dave's mom, but their dad, Dave's 'bro', lived with Dave, and Rose's mom lived with Rose. Their parents were pretty young, only having Dave's and Rose's older siblings, Roxy and Dirk, when they were sixteen, and Rose and Dave three years later. Roxanne and 'Bro' (John didn't know his real name) weren't planning on getting together. Of course, their parents were friends, good friends, and they never let one parent not see the kids. When Rose and Dave were younger, they switched weekends with their parents, but it ended up not working since Dave and his Bro lived in a tiny apartment and Rose's house, though large, hard no spare rooms for the boys. Now, the girls stayed with their mom and the boys stayed with their dad.

The kids were all situated in the living room. The silence was unbearable. John wished he'd just kept his mouth shut, put up with his exulsion and just sat in the courtyard with them. Not that hard, John. But no, now they were stuck in this awkward silence. Dave cleared his throat, hinting for Rose to start.

"John, I know you won't believe us at first when we say this..." She started. "But you just have to believe us." She was anxiously playing with her fingers. "Jade, Dave, and I, we're all...how would you say it?" She turned to her companions for help.

"Supernatural." Dave said simply.

"Yes, that works, Supernatural." Rose said. "Dave and I are vampires and Jade is a werewolf." She concluded. John raised an eyebrow.

"Uh, yeah okay Rose. Funny. You set Vriska up to tell me today just for her to leave with some spooky message, then you guys tell me some fake lies like you're all coming out of the closet or something." John said sarcastically. "God, you guys are so predictable." Rose gave John a cat-like glare. Her pale arms were crossed over her short, black dress.

"Fine John. Have it your way." In a blink of an eye they all vanished, along with the dim of the lights.

John stood up, looking around.

"I don't know if you guys are trying to scare me, but I'll let yiu know that it's not working." John said cockily. No response. He sighed. He walked away from the crisp, white couches and looked around. The was a trail of dark liquid leading to the hallway under Rose's elegant staircase. He just assumed it was a laundry room, but once he entered, he was completely wrong. There was a dark, metal door open, and a flight of stair descending downwards from it, leading to a secret basement John never knew about.

"You guys are obviously down there. I'm not a stupid chick from a horror movie." He said, descending down the dark stairwell.

Downstairs seemed to be some sort of base type thing. A long table with a type of virtual map laid above it sat in the center of the dimly lit room. John had never seen technology like that before. Along the wall, skulls of many sizes and shapes were mounted, along with heads of scaly creatures. One, John had recognized, was definitely a type of large lizard.

It was as if they had magically appeared. John's friends were in front of him at the table.

"Now, we don't mean to scare you, but you need to believe us. In another blink of an eye, Dave and Rose's frames were replaced with two inky-black smoke figures, complete with a set of glowing eyes with pupil-slits as thin as tye edge of a peice of paper. One headed towards John gracefully, the other backed into darkness towards the other side of the room. John eyed the shadow carefully, its violet eyes boring into his soul. He felt as if he were under a trance. Slowly, the Violet eyes looked down to the area near his chest, and in a single, Swift movement, he felt a sharp pain in his neck.

He hissed out in pain and jumped away, covering the mark with his hand. Rose re-apprared, looking leaner, paler, and her eyes looked sharper. Her ears pointed slightly and her white incisors seemed uncomfortably larger. John pukked his hand away from his neck, slight blood on his fingers.

"So...you weren't lying..." He more said than asked. Rose nodded.

"We'd never lie to you, not when you're the person we need the most." Jade said, from back at the table. John's brows furrowed.

"What? What does that mean?" He asked. Jade movee over towards John and Rose. John was now starting to wonder where Dave was.

"Were part of a secret society against evil supernatural, SATM, Supernatural Against The Malicious." Jade said. "It's a group formed back in the 1400 with a duty to keep the world safe from evil deities, rebel vampires, werewolves, dragons, phantoms, demons, devils, ogres, trolls, and macabre spirits." Jade said. Beaming proudly, she added, "We've been apart of it since we were around twelve."

"Why would you three need me then? You seem to be able to hold your own." He questioned.

"That's were you come in." Said a familiar voice from behind John. Whipping around, he saw Dave.

"Us three supernatural are coming of age in our group, and usually the society will start forming regular mission groups by adding a trustworthy human companion selected by a small group of supernatuals." Rose said.

"We picked you." Jade added softly, smiling towards her adoptive brother. John was still very confused.

"Why me? If we're going on missions to fight some evil guys, I'm the last person you'd want."
