I picked up my backpack, making sure Song was still there. "Don't want to leave you now do I?" I said, smiling at the small, white cat. Song was different from other cats, she was small like a kitten though she was already two and she had a blue eye and a yellow eye. She was my family and I loved her.
I started walking, just until I knew no one was watching then I flew. Yeah, I flew, right off the ground. It wasn't long before Song's head popped out my backpack to look at the view. She loved this, and who wouldn't? The wind blew my long black hair behind me and rippled my shirt. Ah, this is the life.
I flew for a couple hours, before landing again. "You think we should stay in a hotel tonight Song, or save the money and camp?" She never answered, but I liked the chit-chat and believed she understood me. "Hotel it is. I'm getting tired of the hard ground."
I ran into the closest, and only, hotel I saw. I rang the bell.
"Yes?" asked the middle aged woman behind the desk.
"Hello, I would like a room."
She looked me up and down. "And where are your parents, sweetie?"
Ah, yes the 'parents'. The only downside to looking, and being, young. Now it's acting time, I put on my sweetest little voice and big eyes. "My mom's waiting for me in the next town we just separated at the airport. I need somewhere to stay before going there, other wises I might fall asleep on the bus and who knows what will happen?"
The woman seemed to think about it. "Alright, I don't see the harm. You look like a good girl."
I smiled, but not my trademark vampire smile. No, a nice, cute smile that radiated innocence. "Thank you, Miss."
I paid and headed to my room. I knew she'd call the police, the governments been showing my photo on TV for the past two days. The police will be called, so I pay upfront and have an early checkout.

As planned, I had an early checkout and was back on the move by six in the morning. I saw a police car outside so before I left, I cut my hair short like a boy's and wore my jeans and a slightly large hoodie with the hood up, covering my face.
I was heading down an alley when they came, one grabbed me from the back, covering my mouth. Another covered my eyes, they're going to kill me! Why didn't I just fly away? If they touch Song, I'll kill them!
I felt something cold at the side of my head, a gun. They're going to blow my brains out. Then I heard it, "Put. Him. Down." The voice was female, she sounded big. I felt the men around me stiffen. The hand over my eyes pulled way. I looked over, at the woman. Wow, she is big at least six feet, she had blond hair pulled back in a ponytail and blue almost black eyes.
"I said put him down!" With that, she stuck. She spun around, her hair hit him between the eyes and he fell like a stone. The other guy followed suit. She looked at me, she seemed confused. "Artemis?"
I stared at her, she could knock me out if I run. Then what she said sunk in, Artemis, and my dreams came to me. For as long as I could remember, I had been having strange dreams of a boy called Artemis, when I was little, I believed them to be real, that he was my twin who I had never been able to meet. When I was ten they started to involve fairies and I finally dismissed them as just dreams.
She repeated it, "Artemis? Is that you?"
I ran.
